Knight, what do you think of all of this?

A picture can kind of explain a lot! Mail is a pretty good armor too, but you have to wear an arming jacket under it. And an arming cap, or it will yank your hair out! LOL! I just don't like plate armor because it is so heavy, hot and constricting.

Yes, pretty tough. It depends on where you get hit, if you get hit on the plates no, if you get hit in between, you're in trouble. An arrow would likely hit one of the areas in between the plates, but a sword would probably not. Did you see the pictures?

These people have a pretty good selection of mail, although you can buy some of the thing cheaper elsewhere. Personally, I think the riveted stuff looks bad, but I guess it is tough. I was going to try to find a cross-section of the different layers, but this is the best I could find. It is a pretty good picture of late medieval armor, note the mace. And very long spurs! LOL!
