    Beowulf

Has anybody read Beowulf? If you have, did you like it?

I was just able to get on for a minute. I don't know, I was wondering. I didn't think anybody was ever going to reply to this! LOL! Smile

Oh. LOL!  Well, I saw it and it was about a book (one of my favorite things) and thought I would ask.  BTW, PM to you.

    Re: Beowulf

You can go here and do a search for Beowulf. Several options will come up, I don't think it really matters which one you pick. I started reading Beowulf once, but I don't remember if I finished it. I think I liked it... I'll have to read it again! Big Smile

    Re: Beowulf

I'm not sure... from what I can see in the first few chapters it's about Beowulf and the battles he fought. (Please don't quote me, though!) I'm pretty sure I didn't read the whole thing, so I'm not sure if it's good or bad. It's considered to be the greatest surviving Anglo-Saxon poem.

    Re: Beowulf

I started to read Beowulf. I know what it is about though.

    Acorn, that's basically what it's about. Here's a description:

    Re: Beowulf

For those of you who might not know it - they are coming out with a film version of Beowulf later this year.  I saw the trailer when I went to see Evan Almighty last week:
