    Okay, here is where we are so far.  If you're adding an answer, please type HINT/SOLUTION or something like that before the answer, and put QUESTION or HELP NEEDED if that's what you're looking for. 

    PLEASE KEEP IN MIND - This riddle will not let you just put in the answer, you have to actually go through the steps to "find" the answer.  In some sections, you can't even type in the answer box until you have "researched" with the search function.  ALSO - after you have searched, close out the search screen, as that sometimes locks you up on your next search, or even putting in the answer.

    When you reach the next level, look around on the floor first.  Pick up the piece of paper, you'll find that it's a receipt.  Using live search, find the address, and then the name of the business.  Next, you'll need to do a search on the dollar amount.  Combine those two names in a live search to see what their link is.

    Your next step is to open the pressure plate on the floor.  Choose Georgina to come over and step on the plate, then click on the radiation symbol on the wall.

    Start with the cigar.  the name on the cigar wrapper, Jornada Del Muerto is the area of Los Alamos where the first atomic bomb was detonated on July 16, 1945.    Research the date and get the name of the test, that is your answer on the cigar screen.  

    The cigar is Cuban, what is the link between Cuba and nuclear weapons?  What happened in October 1962 relating to this?  

    Next, the beer bottles.  Search the names of the other three bottles together, and find the name that is missing.  (p.s. just their names, not 'beer')

    Then, to the clipboard.  Your next search should involved what you found happened in October '62, the name of the missing beer bottle and the last time on the clipboard, 4:00 AM.  It will give you a date, put it in the format of DD MON YY (day month -abbreviations - year)

    Set the thumbwheel with that date, then go back and open the door

    Game is acting funky, getting hung up, but here is what I got on the third level before it totally froze up:

    Get the next person to stand on the pressure plate.  Pick up the piece of paper on the floor.  Search the first line of text.  Get the next piece of paper by the gauges, search the lyrics.  You'll find it's from the same thing as the first piece.

    Check the gauges.  They are named Morehouse, Edgerton, Hartley and Strachey.  You are going to have to set them to specific values.  This is where it all froze up, wouldn't let me search and booted me back to the log-in page, but I couldn't log in.  That's enough for tonight.  If anyone gets any further, please post here.

    Okay, here is the rest of LEVEL 3

    You will need to research the names of each person on the three gauges, and match them with the names of the instruments on the music.  The instruments were violin, tabor, celeste and shawm (a type of oboe).  Morehouse/celeste, Edgerton/shawm, Hartley/violin, Strachey/tabor.  

    Morehouse was the captain of the Mary Celeste.
    Edgerton developed sidescan radar, and discovered the wreck of the Mary Rose.
    Hartley was a violinist on the Titanic.
    Strachey was the Sea Venture.

    This level continued to have problems today, sometimes not letting me search.  I also found that I DO NOT LIKE Live Search, lol.

    Once you get the depth gauges set, the door will automatically open, you'll hear an explanation of why the professor went into hiding, and then you will see a newspaper.  Scroll down, it will take you to the bottom let you know you've finished and are now entered into the drawing for the X-Box 360!

    ok am i stupid? i found the date for the lock it won't open using the directions u gave?? help?

    Okay, guess we'll have to clarify the instructions.  With this game, you have to actually go the steps, you can't just go right to the answer.

    Ok, I guess I am little late, since I am just starting to play the 2nd Part...I didn't realize they had released it.

    So this is where I need help....I got to the part where you need to enter the date on the thumbwheel and I am stuck.  I have gone througth each step and was able to figure out everything on my own (up till now).  So I came here for some help.

    I have tried to enter every date during the the "October 1962 event" with no luck.  What am I missing?  I have searched on the name of that event, with the name of the missing beer and the time on the bottom of the chart.  No date I have found works.

    If you do not want to post the answer here, can you please email me the date @ alexisz4504@aim.com before I pull my hair out, LOL!!

    The date you need is the date that matches up with the incident - "Then, to the clipboard.  Your next search should involved what you found happened in October '62, the name of the missing beer bottle and the last time on the clipboard, 4:00 AM.  It will give you a date, put it in the format of DD MON YY (day month -abbreviations - year) "

    Hello scoutmom please can you help me? I'm stuck on the last puzzle the one with the gauges.  I've done the first three and can't seem to figure out what the last one is. I know what happened to the Sea Venture but anything i type in isn't working please help me!!!!!!!!!

    My sincere apologies - first because I did not notice your email right away, and second, because I can't seem to get into the game.  It seems there is something wrong with the flash file - again.

    In the meantime, I am almost certain I found the information on wikipedia.  If you can give me exactly what you have, I might be able to help without getting into the game.  I don't recall if it had to do with being deliberately grounded, the hurricane or Shakespeare's The Tempest.  I will try again later today and see if I can't get in there.

    Hi I am stuck I seem to be on the next level but I cannot find the paper receipt on the floor all I get is the genes code and the neolatides in case it helps after I worked out the code from the scrap paper using the mneumonics she told me to go back to the terminal I'm assuming she meant the chamber and type it in I went back but never got the chance to type it in as it just seemed to put me on the next level

    If you did not use the Live Search function, the game does not seem to progress correctly.  Even if you know the correct answer.

    I am still unable to get back into the game.  I can log in and go through the introduction, but there appears to be a flash file error and once I get into the first room to try and replay/look at the game, it begins moving at warp speed.  I know other people have had the same problems.  I will continue trying.  Let me know if using Live Search lets you get to the keyboard to enter in your answer. 

    Also, don't forget when you do get the answer, there may be information to find when you use the scroll down arrow on the right side of the page.

    Hi scoutmom thanks for your reply I think you are right in I have not used live search I guessed icarus  after I got the sun right and I seemed to progress I have put in the first letter of each word on the note anna then tells me I'm right and to go back to the terminal to enter but when I press the arrow return it takes me back to the chamber with no where to put in the 5 letter sequence with the other part it says welcome back dr haldane and the page is the dna molocule and nucleotides but anna says to enter the username which is h*****e and the password i****s but no box to submit these again I will keep trying but either It's crashed of sorts or I do need a helping hand cos I'm out of ideas once again thanks

    It is tedious, but you need to do one step at a time, and use Live Search any time you would be coming up with an answer.  When you are done with your 'search', close it out so you open a new one each time and it registers.

    Unfortunately, there are some issues with this game.  I can log in, but when I get (finally) to the first level, the Flash file goes crazy and I'm not able to click on anything to progress or even doublecheck.  It seems I'm not the only one.  I know some others who have had the same issues, and we've all completed the game, so perhaps that's part of the problem.

    In any case, I did run into some of the same issues you are while I played.  And using Live Search was one of the things that allowed me to actually enter in the answer and submit.

    I have not found anyway to contact them to ask for assistance, either.  If anyone else knows who/how to contact, please let me know and I will get on it ASAP.

    As for the loading issues - I have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling flash, clearing browser/cache/cookies/everything without success.  It is acting the same after as before.

    I am more than happy to try and assist anyone in anyway I can!

    1.  pick up the paper
    2.  click on the screen
    3.  click on the feather
    4.  click on the temperature
    5.  answer "sun"
    6.  click on open, go back to the paper
    7.  click on the paper, enter haldane
    8.  go back to the screen
    9.  click on user name (maybe twice)
    10. enter user name and password when prompted by the face

    You will need to search icarus haldane in live search the first time you are on the screen

    NEXT
    1.  Click on Team Member Location Update.  You'll get a new window with a google map - notice the shapes form nucleotides.
    2.  Live Search adenine nucleotides
    3.  The sequence is TCGA
    4.  Go back to the note when she tells you to
    5.  Look at the words on the note, in quotes, that is your sequence
    6.  Back to the screen.  Click on it, enter in the sequence, hit enter

    Now, back up to the first box here and follow through the next steps, that will get you through to the last level...

    FYI - the only way I could get back in was to create a new user name and password and start all over again.
