New Game Show - SHOW ME THE MONEY

Did any of you happen to catch William Shatner's new game show last night.  Besides the fact that our group of trivia addicts could probably kick butt and clean up on that show, what did you think?  It looked as if you crossed Deal or No Deal with Millionaire, threw in Denny Crain and added the premise that if you get a question wrong, you aren't immediately eliminated.  I like the NOT eliminated part, if I do say so myself!

Although I seldom get to watch a full program, do to my husband suffering from a severe case of "remotemus clickitus" when it isn't a program he likes, I did get to see enough to be intrigued.  I also got to prove my hubby wrong when he tried to tell me that Denmark and The Netherlands were the same place.  (And that's why I don't let him play trivia!)

If you got to watch more than I did, let me know what you think.

Yes, Scout I caught the tail end of the show last night.  I find it funny that all the games shows seem to be replicas of ones in the past.  I found it very similiar to Deal or No Deal with a mix of 1 vs. 100.  While I like both of those shows, I found "Show Me The Money" to be a bit cheesy.  I mean come on, who wants to see William Shatner do the moon-walk across the stage?

Hey BC how the heck are ya!

I did happen to catch this show the other night - I turned it on 10 minutes into the show.  The woman on that night happen to win just under 3/4 of a million dollars.

However, I don't get Shatner as the host.  The game at least has a concept and some questions that you actually have to think about (ok well I actually have to think about) unlike Deal or no Deal, so it makes it more interesting to watch but (OK I'm gonna get caddy now) first we go from the half naked girls of Deal or no Deal now we have half naked dancing girls.  Now please, I ask you, is this REALLY necessary?

I was watching the American Music Awards for the first hour with my son (we watch House on Tuesday nights) and was treated to the musical stylings of the Pussycat Dolls.  Again, I ask IS THIS MUSIC??? Of course my son had no trouble with this but I come from the days of Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Bowie, Stewart, Springsteen.  Now I like Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Fuel etc.  But come on THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS omg ROFLMAO.

OK, I said - shoot me!

So, that was my TV viewing the early part of last week; watching naked woman dance during prime time TV.  Thank god for Hugh Laurie at 9:00 on Tuesday!

Take care all - nice to see ya there BC
