To end of the Harry Potter series which has given my family so much more than the story of a boy wizard, I say thank you. My daughter has been given the gift of reading. I was told she may never read at grade level and at the time was going to be tested for dyslexia. Thankfully she found Harry Potter. She had found something she wanted to read and within a short period of time was reading at or above grade level with no sign of dyslexia. She now reads at college levels and is in honors English. To my son who can read anything put in front of him but cannot form the written word. He has sat down to write. Hopefully, his struggles too will be behind him. I'll fill him in on plagiarism later. :) Thank you J. K. Rowling for giving my children gifts that they were unable to find without you.
The books brought us to tears and gave us laughter. The Deathly Hallows brought answers to questions we had wanted for so long. The epilogue created as many questions as it answered. Were we surprised at Snape and Dumbledore, you betcha. We were right and wrong about Harry. We were just as proud of Neville as his grandmother was. Kreacher and Doby who would have thought... Way to go Mrs. Weasley! Ron and Hermoine, you can only hope to have two friends like them
