This is to discuss the War Between the States. Just so that every one knows, I am a Confederate. I have done more research now, so I would really like to discuss it more in-depth.

Thanks for starting this thread, my cousin said I shouldn't leave because there were still yankees to convert. Well, I was going to ask Joe if I could post one big giant, finall thread on the WNA, were us Southern Boys like Me, You, Bahnsen8, Istvan etc could answer questions, debate, and discuss the War. Well, I reckon this can be it :D. Well, first of all, do we have any of the yankee persuasion here? If so, I would like to ask you, why are you supportive of the yankee invader? Why do you believe the South is wrong? please let us know, so we can engage in some friendly, and hopefull effective, debate before I leave.

By the way, if there ever was a Yankee that you wanted to convert, it would be me.  Why, you ask?  Because I am a filmmaker, and my next theatrical film has a 60% chance of being a Civil War Epic... no joke.  But I warn you, I will give you Rebs as much trouble as Gettysburg.

Not much of anything for either.  The question is, what state would the world be in today if the North hadn't won?   Even if they were wrong, God used the North.

Well, you get the generall gist of it, Sir . I believe the Secession is a Constitutional Right, and a Necessary Safe-Gaurd for our liberties.
Tell mr sir, why to you support the Yankee Empire in the WNA? I get the impression you think secession is wrong, am I right? As soon as you answer, I will completely, and un-arguably show you how Secession is a Constitutional belief.

Hmmm.... So you believe that the World is better off because the Yankee Empire Won? So, because the yankees won, and the US became an empire, but supposedly the world is "better" it is good that the yankees won? Are you saying that God used the North Vietnamese? They won against the forces that were in the right, am I right? Victory doesn't mean morality or that they were used of God.

Four Centuries, One more thing, it is not my business what the the rest of the world does, my loyalties on THIS earth lie first in caring for my family (well, that's in the future, but you know what I mean), then in the well being of my State, Florida, then in the Well being of my people/Nation, The South. I am sorry if this will get me branded as an "Un-american" wich I am the exact opposite of, and calling me that because of what i am about to say, is in truth being Un American, but the US military interfering with matters outside of the US, getting involved in foreign wars, is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, ever heard of the Monroe Doctrine?

I mean, who would have delivered the world from the grip of Germany in WW1 and WW2?  What would have stopped the Iraqis in Kuwaitt?   What would have stopped some foreign country from conquering a divided nation such as this would have been?  United we stand, divided we fall.  I am not talking about morality, or who had the better reason so fight.  I am simply saying that God has used and continues to use the United States.... as you call it.. the Yankee Empire.

I am not saying that the North was right, nor am I saying that the South was right.  I am simply saying that it was God's will and purpose that the North won.

Therefore, I see no need to argue about who was politically correct.  When I make my film, I will do it from the North's point of view.  However, I will make clear what I said in the previous post.
