    A Volvo the Hunt Tribute

Hi people. To show my gratitude for Volvo: the Hunt, I have actually created a small tribute to it. It is a change-the-URL riddle, except it has many features that is similar to Volvo: The Hunt (ex. Coordinates, poem--- but without voiceover etc.) and some additional features (???). You can access it here:

     http://www.freewebs.com/hunttribute/

Finish all the levels and you can get your name into the Hall of Fame and find out something which you will never expect...

Have Fun and hope you like this little tribute to the GREATEST hunt in the world!

So, is there a way to get hints?  I've solved 3/4 of the first level, but there's a group of us stumped!  Obviously we're brain dead!

We solved the first level - now we're looking at handfuls of rice.  Anyone who wants to join us, we're trying to work together in the pirate chat room when we get the chance...join us over in POTC

Re: A Volvo the Hunt Tribute

Rice is traditionally used in Thailand's Songkran Festivals... (OK, that's besides the point)

Anyway, remember, from 1 to 9... three different types of rice, 9 lines in the recipe.

Solve it, and find the coordinates.

    It's not that difficult...

9 numbers, 9 lines in the recipe.

    Coincidence? Stick out tongue

I think I understand your 2nd puzzle and final clue - BUT frustratingly haven't succeeded yet.

Please kindly verify that all of your rice "recipies" are accurate (unless my suspicion that 1, 2, & 4 are the variables is not correct...)?

    You have great puzzles.

My confusion with the rice is 9 numbers 9 lines when we only need 8 for the coords.

Oops, you are correct Rocketeer. Thanks for the clarification. Fixed now. The recipe is inaccurate, but the puzzle was correct. Your variables are correct too, just not in the right position (my fault). Anyway, checked it through thoroughly, it should work now. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Oh, and do remember, that since it's a list, you should add not multiply.

And lastly, remember about the not negative or positive clue. Once you have 7 numbers, you may need to guess a little about where the placement of the final number should be. Try every combination (there shouldn't be too many, if you have the 8 numbers correct).

P.S. Since Volvo did this, I'll do this too.

    Puzzle 4- China

    Puzzle 8- Revealed 1st July

    Puzzle 12- Revealed 10th July

    Puzzle 16- Revealed 20th July

    Puzzle 20- Revealed 30th July

If you can't solve the puzzles, maybe you can speculate on the route you're taking, gives you a hint on the coordinates... Wink

    Thanx for the correction.

I'll have to go right out and get me another Pirate Map so I can plot along!  This is just what I needed for treatment of my POTC withdrawal....

    Cool

Whew - just got the rice.  A little trial and error, and some typos on my part.

    Moving on... :)

    webyongzy,

You and rocket mentioned an error and it had been corrected. I have been working on this for entire day, went back to the site to see the correction but the puzzle still looks the same. Please explain what you are talking about.

    Thanks

    webyongzy,

Ok, I see you changed white to yellow. I just can't clear my mind from the wrong way I was doing it to try a new path.
