    LOST (ABC, Wednesdays)

I hate the show is taking a hiatus until February especially with falling ratings and viewer complaints, but I really enjoyed last night's episode. Anyone want to talk about it?

It is quite anoying when tv shows stop mid season and dont pick up until mid february. It happens to most tv shows I watch. From what I hear the producers are loosing ideas for the show. I have never personally watched the show but I hear some pretty cool things about it.

It's all about the money, baby!  And it really stinks.  Remember when you used to get 26, then 24, then 22 episodes of a show?  Now, you're lucky to get 18.  And it used to be the fall season started in September, ran until about the first of January, then you got your reruns so you could catch up on anything you might have missed.  Not anymore. It gets harder and harder to stay with a show these days, no matter how good it might be.

I know this is probably a minority opinion, but I'm kinda excited about the extended break that Lost is taking. The writers certainly threw in plenty to think about in the first six episodes of season 3. I like the anticipation. If you want to know more about the show or read increasingly detailed and crazy theories Lostpedia.com is a great and extensive site.

My biggest concern is they keep adding in all kinds of stuff to think about, plus new characters, without tying up any of the previous story lines. They kept posing question after question. Even after someone dies it feels as if theirs no resolution since the circumstances tend to be mysterious. And then the dead people keep popping back up, too.

I don't need to know everything, but I'd like to get a couple of things cleared up at least. Thanks for the link!

I know it's really frustrating that there are a million questions for every answer. It may be naive, but I like to think there will be some resolution if the series runs it's course. I think Lost jumped the polar bear long ago, but I still enjoy the characters and mega weirdness.
