2-27 Dish: Seinfeld Reality Show on NBC
27 February 09 07:25 AM | Zach | with no comments

It's FRIDAY!! Friday couldn't get here fast enough. This week has been way too long and drawn out. But good things have happened for me this week :) Some of my hard work is finally starting to pay off!

'Slumdog' Children Return to India...
The child stars of Slumdog Millionaire have returned to India after attending the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles this week.
The film earned eight Academy Awards at Sunday's prize presentation. Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, 10, and Rubina Ali, 9, attended the awards show, as well as parties that took place after it, then went to Disneyland the following day.
The Press Trust of India said they were given heroes' welcomes from family, friends, reporters and fans Thursday when they returned to India.

Paltrow Brushes Off Criticism of Healthy Living Website...
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has dismissed criticism of her health and lifestyle website, insisting the media is only against the project because she's making headlines for reasons other than her Hollywood career.
The Shakespeare In Love star gives out advice on topics like diet and exercise on Goop.com, which also features a weekly newsletter, but her words of wisdom have come under attack in the press for the all-knowing tone of her articles.
One Canadian newspaper queried, "Why is it called Goop? Perhaps 'Any Old Load of Rubbish' and 'Learn From Me, Ungrateful Peasant' were both taken."
But Paltrow refuses to take the negative comments to heart, and insists she's only sharing the useful tips she was given by others.

Jewel Injured in Dance Rehearsals...
Singer Jewel's bid for dancing glory as a contestant on the upcoming season of TV show Dancing with the Stars has taken a hit - she has suffered a knee injury.
The newlywed, who is scheduled to compete with husband Ty Murray on the show, has revealed she's hobbling around the rehearsal studio in a blog to fans.
She writes, "I guess I really over did it on the rehearsal front! My knees have been hurting so badly that I finally broke down and talked to Ty's knee doctor... He said I have tendonitis (sic) in my knees and that I have to start a course of medicine to try and bring the swelling down.
"It's mainly my left knee, and I can't believe I hurt it so badly. Ty warned me I was overdoing it, and now he got a big ol' 'I told you so' in. The worst part is that I can't rehearse for the next couple days."

Chris Brown's Court Date may be Postponed...
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles district attorney's office says singer Chris Brown's scheduled March 5 arraignment may be postponed.
Brown, 19, was arrested February 8 after an alleged physical altercation with his 21-year-old girlfriend, recording artist Rihanna, in a car in Los Angeles.
He was released on bail and due to be arraigned next week but that court appearance "may not happen," Los Angeles district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison told E! News.

Seinfeld Reality Show on NBC...
The economy is SO bad, even Seinfeld is looking for work... That'll be on Leno next week lol
Jerry Seinfeld is reteaming with NBC to launch his first reality series.
The comedian's project is tentatively called "The Marriage Ref" and features celebrities, comedians and athletes who will judge couples in the midst of marital disputes while recommending various strategies to resolve their problems.
Seinfeld is partnering with "The Oprah Winfrey Show" veteran Ellen Rakieten on the project, which reunites the comedian with the network that aired his hit sitcom "Seinfeld" for nine years.

Criss Angel and Holly Madison Break Up...
Las Vegas illusionist Criss Angel and reality television personality and Playboy pin-up Holly Madison have broken up.
The pair started dating late last year.
"Criss and Holly are no longer a couple," their publicist, Steve Flynn, told People magazine. "They remain very close friends and wish each other the very best."
Madison is best known for her work on the reality TV show The Girls Next Door. She had been dating Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner until last October.

Timberlake to be a Guest on 1st 'Fallon'...
I'm actually really excited about this Late Night show! I wont be staying up to watch it but with the power of DVR, I hope to see almost every episode of it.
Justin Timberlake is to join Robert De Niro and musical guest Van Morrison for the premiere episode of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," NBC said.
Also added to the show's star-studded lineup during its first week on the air will be Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford on March 6 and musical guest Clap Your Hands Say Yeah on March 4, NBC said.
Already scheduled to appear on the show during its inaugural week are Tina Fey, Jon Bon Jovi, Santigold, Cameron Diaz, Billy Crudup, Donald Trump, Serena Williams, Ludacris, Drew Barrymore and Mario Batali.
The show is to debut March 2.

New! Stealing this one from The Soup, here's your Kick A$$ clip of the week!

American Idol 8: Top 27 Night 2
26 February 09 08:21 PM | Zach | with no comments

Well, it's results night! I dont know about you but is it easier to call in this year? I kept getting thru which is usually strange!! Alright, time to take a look back at our contestants... boring for the blog lol. The group song tonight is Closer by Ne-yo, good choice! They were all very good.

Oh man, this year they are getting us DVRers... they said in these commercials they have a hidden audition we wont want to miss... Oh brother... Spoiler, its after the ATT commercial. It wasn't even funny Sad

Time to get to the results! But first, the highlights... Ryan talks to Nick first about if he doesn't make it through he says "I'm looking for employment".

Allison is called down to the stage. Ryan makes her stand off to the left of the stage.

Ryan called down Jesse next. She was told to stand next to Allison. Matt Breitzke to stand over with the girls. Ryan informed us that one of them is in the top 12, while the other two are out.

After the nation wide vote, the person through to the top 12 is Allison!  She really is one to watch in this competition and I'm sorry she's not in my top 12.

TWO SPOTS REMAIN.

Megan and Kris are brought to center stage. Both of my Wild Cards actually... Next he brings down Matt Giraud and Jeanine Vailes and had them stand with Megan and Chris. One of the 4 made it through to the next round. I hope that Giraud gets the spot. Jeanine is out. Matt is also out. The person going through is Kris! There goes my wild card lol.

ONE SPOT REMAINS.

Before fillling the final stool, a recap of the past 8 years on Idol with "What a Wonderful World" AHHHH!!! I thought Sanjaya's face was finally out of my brain! Now I have to go gouge my eyes out again!

Brooke White is back! She's singing a song by Heart, I didn't catch the name, was checking my emails.

Breaktime...

OOhhh! An American Idol Fusion!

5 more contestants. The final 5 are asked to join Ryan on the stage: Mishavonna, Kai, Adam, Nick and Jasmine. Mishavonna, Kai and Jasmine are out. That leaves Adam and Nick! (This is where the bonus points come in). Here's how I saw it. Matt Giraud and Nick, but my other option was Adam and Nick.

And we're back. Who is it? Nick or Adam? The 6th seat in the top 12 of American Idol is Adam! there's a pitty point for me there lol. Here's the updates!!

No one won the extra point tonight. We'll try this again next week I think...

Zach- 4
Fleur_de_lis- 3
Fluffy Cow- 3
Josie- 3
Shawn- 4

The competition is very close!!!

See ya back here next week!

Also, contest participants,

Alright, time to give you a shot at a bonus point tonight! For those of you who entered the contest, you have from now until 7:59:59 PM ET tonight to submit. Here's what you need to do...

Those of you who are in the contest, send an email to me with the two people you think are going to be standing on the stage at the end of the night with Ryan. Meaning that one is staying and the other is going home. If your confused, they did this last week with Tatiana and Danny.

If you are correct, you will win a bonus point! If your wrong, no points will be taken Smile

Send your guesses to zach@steeplemedia.com!

American Idol 8: Top 27 Night 1
25 February 09 08:41 PM | Zach | with no comments

How do I figure 27? Well they kicked 9 out last week, and 3 of em are in the top 12 already... there will be another 9 going home tomorrow night :) 9 is a big number I must say...

Well, we made it! Today we meet the first second of the top 36! Its going to be good! Get prepared!! Below you will find my rating about each Idol singer. Tonight is the first group of 12. They also announced how they are shaping the top 12. Each night, the top highest guy and top highest girl will make it through. Then the next highest vote getter will also make it through which gets us to 9. Then, on the Wild Card show, 3 contestants will make it through. **KEEP IN MIND** This does not change how the contest will be run! That is staying the same!!

I have decided that this season I will watch the show and judge without the input of the judges. I mute them while I type my results. Then I replayed the results during breaks and said who I agreed with. Honestly!! These performances are in order so if you are still up until 12:00 PM EST tonight, you can still call in! Remember the number is 1-866-IDOLS(43657)-(their two digits eg. 01 or 12) OR if you have a AT&T Wireless phone, you can text the word VOTE to 57(their two digits). ((OK now I really feel like Ryan)). I'm excited this year because I have a DVR! That means I can pause the show more and make sure I spell names right the first time lol.

Also, tonight since we are picking 3 people to go on to the top 12, I will post either "SAFE" if i think they made it through or "GOING HOME" if I am 100% sure they are out. If I leave a - in the field, I was unsure.

01. Jasmine Murray sang Love Song by Sarah Barellas.

I thought it was kinda safe. It didn't blow me away. It was totally pitchy. And the song choice wasn't the greatest...  I think its the end of the road for her.

I agree with Simon on replay. I agree with what he said about she could come back in a few years and make it more in the competition.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

02. Matt Giraud sang Viva La Vida by Coldplay.

He's a big piano player, yet he didn't get to use it for this song. He needed the keyboard... It was very boring. Wrong song choice. I really didn't like it. Kinda stinks because he's also in my top 16....

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

03. Jeanine Vailes sang This Love by Maroon 5.

She wanted to sing something she was comfortable with... Not the greatest idea but I'll go with it. It was pitchy all over.... she mixed up the words in some spots... She could have done much better with a BETTER song... What is with these people tonight?

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

04. Nick "Norman Gentle" Mitchell sang You're Gonna Love Me by Artist.

He walked on stage as Norman... Definitely the most entertaining performance so far tonight! I was laughing my head off! But I do not wish for him to make it to the next round, but I give him mad props for doing the most entertaining performance ever on the Idol stage.

I agree with Kara on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

05. Allison Iraheta sang Alone by Heart.

I really liked it! That was the first real performance that did it for me. She's one to watch! It reminded me a lot of Kelly Clarkson.

I agree with all the judges on replay.

My Order (This week: SAFE) (Last week: -)

06. Kris Allen sang Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson.

Wow! The show is finally picking up! It wasn't his greatest but he showed confidence and personality. He's definitely in the running still...

I agree with Paula & Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: HAS A SHOT) (Last week: -)

07. Megan Corkrey sang Put Your Records On by Corine Bailey Ray.

Five seconds into the song, I can already tell it was a bad song choice. The whole thing is off pitch. I didn't like what she was doing with her hands.... She should have held the mic instead of the stand.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

08. Matt Breitzke sang If You Could Only See by Tonic.

He looks like a larger Chris Daughtry... I'm not feeling it. He didn't do the song any justice during the first half of the song. I pictured more of a rock vibe from him. I thought it was very boring. I don't see him making it through...

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

09. Jesse Langseth sang Betty Davis Eyes by Kim Karens.

I thought it was really boring. They need to stop singing safe songs! It was a very forgettable performance.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

10. Kai Kalama sang What Becomes of the Broken Hearted by Jimmy Ruffin.

It was very pitchy. It was very old fashioned... Very safe...

I agree with Simon on replay. His analogys always make me laugh... lol

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

11. Mishavonna Henson sang Drops of Juipiter by Train.

One of my favorite songs... bad song choice I think. Very safe. The second half of the song was better. It needed to be younger and more fun...

I agree with Simon on replay. Haha at Paula... She's been funny tonight!

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

12. Adam Lambert sang Satisfaction by Rolling Stones.

I give it a standing O! That performance was the best by FAR tonight. Wow at that range too! What a way to end it!

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: SAFE) (Last week: -)

Results are tomorrow night at 8/7c!

Or (they) try to rile me up. And I'm like, 'Hey, watch it! I'll come up there, you know.' I try to not be that crazy girlfriend.

Heath Ledger's Family Accepts His Oscar...
The late Heath Ledger won a posthumous Oscar for his role as The Joker in Dark Knight.
His family, including his father Kim, mother Sally and sister Kate, accepted the award on his behalf.
In the acceptance speech, Kim said, "I have to say this is ever so humbling, being amongst such wonderful people. I'd like to thank the Academy for recognizing our son's amazing work." He also thanked Knight director Christopher Nolan for allowing Heath "the creative license to develop and explore this crazy Joker character," as well as Ledger's longtime pal and agent, Steve Alexander.
He added, "This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here, his peers, within an industry he so loved."
Sister Kate said, "We really wish you were here but we proudly accept this award on behalf of your beautiful daughter Matilda."
His mother Sally called her late son a "generous soul."

Recession 2009: NYC bar offers $1000 Oscar cocktail...

(UPI) - A bartender at a high-end New York watering hole is giving a nod to Sunday night's Academy Awards with a $1,000 cocktail.
Hudson Library Bar bartender Marcelo Venegas said the Illy Issimo Academy Gold Cocktail being offered at an Oscars party at the bar features rum, Illy Issimo Latte Macchiato, lime juice and syrup, the New York Daily News reported.
There also is strawberry puree on its rim and it comes with a small gold-colored chocolate statue.
But what makes the beverage a truly costly treat is the digestible gold in its chilled martini glass.
Despite the unique ingredient, those who spoke with the Daily News felt $1,000 was a bit too much for a single drink.
"Not unless it included two weeks' paid vacation," supermarket worker Stephen Lucas said of the Gold Cocktail.

"They would have to put the elixir of life inside of it," 23-year-old college student Danielle Curran said.

Ok, enough about those Oscars!!

Nicole Richie is Pregnant...
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are expecting their second child.
The Good Charlotte rocker posted this on his Web site:
"I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope [you're] all feeling as good as i am right now."
Richie and Madden are proud parents of daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who turned one on Jan. 11.

Rihanna Breaks Her Silence...

(UPI) - Barbados-born singer Rihanna, who was allegedly beaten by her boyfriend Chris Brown this month, is doing well, her publicist said Friday.
Brown, 19, was arrested Feb. 8 in Los Angeles and charged with making a criminal threat. He posted bail and is slated to be arraigned next month.
"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," Rihanna's publicist said in a statement issued to People magazine Friday, Rihanna's 21st birthday. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
People.com noted this was the first statement made by Rihanna's camp since Brown's arrest. The remarks came a day after a photo purportedly of Rihanna's battered face was posted on the Internet.
The union that represents Los Angeles police officers said Friday it supported the police department's decision to open an internal investigation to determine whether the photo of Rihanna was part of police evidence in the case, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Should I feel bad about posting that pic of Rihanna?

American Idol 8: Top 36 Night 2
18 February 09 09:24 PM | Zach | 2 comment(s)

It's time for some eliminations! Thanks to everyone for entering the contest! I will post current points after the show tonight. But I think you may be curious as to who I picked... Here they are! Guys: Danny Gokey, Michael Sarver, Anoop Desai, Jorge Nunez, Matt Giraud, Ju'Not Joyner, Von Smith and Adam Lambert. Girls: Alexis Grace, Tatiana Del Soro (unfortunitly), Lil Rounds, Jackie Tohn, Jasmine Murray, Mishavonna Henson, Jesse Langseth, and Arianna Afsar. My wild cards were Kris Allen and Megan Corkrey.

Last night, 24 million votes were cast! wow! Randy commented that some stood up to the plate while others couldn't handle it.

The entire group sang "I'm Yours." Tatiana couldn't help but show off. 3 of the girls microphones didnt work... As an entire group, they were very good!

Everyone put Danny Gokey in the top 12, everyone put Alexis Grace through one way or another.

Casey Carlson was asked to join Ryan center stage. She agreed with the judges she should have picked a different song. Randy says she's not in the top 12. America says the same. No one lost points Smile

Stephen Fowler is up! He chose the totally wrong song. Kara gives him a no for staying. Not in the top 12.

Alexis Grace is up now! I'm hoping she's through, Everyone has her going through. Paula says she came out of her shell last night, she did a marvelous job. She is the first to make it in the top 12!! She's asked to sing for us.

2 Spots remain!!

Ricky Braddy and Jackie Tohn are up... Doesn't look good bringing both of them up there at the same time. Ricky is not in the top 12 and neither is Jackie...

Oh Man! Anoop AND Michael Sarver were both called up... I have both of them in my top 12... Ryan asked Michael to describe the experience to everyone. He said his heart is beating out of his chest. The person going through to the top 12 is Michael Sarver! Time for Sarver to sing...

1 Spot remains!!

They are showing the new Idol experience at Disney World. Very cool! People audition and perform on a replica Idol stage in front of a live audience. Then they vote live for the Day's best singer! The opening night featured a performance by Idols David Cook and Carrie Underwood. Very cool!

Next two on stage were Michael John and Carly Smithson! Just kidding, they were last years season! Michael John has a single coming out in a few weeks and an album coming out this Spring! Wow! They are both performing "The Letter" on Idol now... An awesome job!!

Back to business...
Anne Marie Boskovich, Brent Keith, and Stevie Wright. Obviously they are all not going through. Which is true, they all did terrible last night in my opinion.

That leaves Danny and Tatiana. She was fixing her hair. She looks like a freak. Ryan asks her how she feels, she just shakes her head. Ryan asks Paula which person deserves a spot in the top 12, she says Danny (which would make all of us happy)...

Break time and then we find out!

Ok and we're back... America Voted, The person going through to the top 12 is Danny! WOoohoooo!!!! Tatiana is bawling lol.

Here is the current contest point standings!

Zach -- 3
Fleur_de_lis -- 2
Fluffy Cow -- 1
Josie -- 2
Shawn -- 3

This is only week 1 dont forget. You all still have time to get ahead! And don't forget that the Wild Card is worth 3 points each!!

Madame Tussauds in London Monday unveiled a new Britney Spears figure designed to capture the pop star's comeback look.
The Daily Telegraph said the latest Spears waxwork is smiling, has long blond hair, is dressed in a sparkly silver dress with a plunging neckline and is holding an MTV Video Music Award.
"We are delighted to be featuring Britney at Madame Tussauds London for the second time," Madame Tussauds' spokeswoman Liz Edwards told the newspaper. "Her original figure captured a provocative pose from her 2001 Dream Within a Dream Tour and was extremely popular. However, she's undergone a huge transformation since then and we wanted to reflect her as she is now."

Donald Trump casinos file for bankruptcy (again)...
Wow! I didn't know that they filed for bankruptcy the first time! I thought Trump companies were actually doing well!
(Reuters) - Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc, Donald Trump's casino group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday, court documents show.
The casino operator had assets of about $2.1 billion and total debts of about $1.74 billion on December 31, 2008, it said in its filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
Nine affiliates of the casino operator including Trump Plaza Associates, Trump Plaza Associates, Trump Marina Associates and Trump Taj Mahal Associates simultaneously sought protection, according to the filing.
The company missed a $53.1 million bond interest payment due on December 1 as a sharp downturn in consumer spending hit casino revenues.
Donald Trump said on Friday that he had decided to resign from the board of the company due to disagreements with bondholders who wanted the casino group to file for bankruptcy.

Rihanna's Cousin Downplays Injuries...

Another family member of Rihanna has downplayed her alleged fight with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown - insisting the pop star's injuries are not "as bad as people make them sound".
Rihanna returned to her native Barbados last week after she was reportedly assaulted by her then-boyfriend Brown in the early hours of February 8. The incident is said to have left her in need of hospital treatment.
Brown is facing possible jail time after he was charged by Los Angeles police with making criminal threats following the heated argument.
Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, confirmed on Sunday the incident has put an end to the superstars' relationship, insisting his daughter was focusing on making a recovery.
In a statement to People.com, he added, "There is some bruising. She will be all right. I think so."
But Rihanna's cousin, Yvonne Fenty, has urged the singer's fans not to worry, adding the star is getting "her life back on track."
Yvonne tells RadarOnline, "Rihanna is holding up well. Everyone is looking after her. Her injuries weren't near as bad as people make them sound."
Brown released a statement on Sunday admitting he was "saddened" by the incident, and that he was seeking solace in getting counseling from his pastor and his family.
Rihanna has yet to issue an official statement about the incident.

Jackman Tips Ledger for Oscar Success...
Oscars host Hugh Jackman is praying late actor Heath Ledger walks away with a posthumous Academy Award - because the honor would be "fitting" to the star's memory.
Ledger, who died from an accidental drug overdose in January 2008, achieved huge critical acclaim for his turn as The Joker in Batman movie The Dark Knight.
He was honored with the Best Supporting Actor trophy at last month's Golden Globes and won the same prize at the BAFTA awards earlier this month.

Lohan Dismisses New Break-Up Rumors...
Lindsay Lohan has brushed off fresh rumors she's split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson, after the couple pulled out of hosting duties at a St. Valentine's Day party in Florida.
The Mean Girls actress and her DJ partner were due to appear at Passions, a nightclub in Florida's Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday.
They were forced to cancel after reportedly falling ill - with Ronson claiming she had been given doctor's orders not to fly from New York to Florida that day.
The last-minute cancellation sparked new claims the pair had clashed, with online blogs alleging the couple scrapped the bash following a heated argument on Friday (13Feb09) night.

See ya tonight for another Idol!

American Idol 8: Top 36 Night 1
17 February 09 08:49 PM | Zach | with no comments

Well, we made it! Today we meet the first third of the top 36!

01. Jackie Tohn sang Little Less Conversation by Elvis Presley.

How I think they did: Made it sound a little like Bleeding Love at the start. What a way to start the night! It was great entertainment. Simon thought she played the clown tonight.

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

02. Ricky Braddy sang A Song For You by Leon Russell.

How I think they did: If I closed my eyes, I would picture Clay Aiken on stage singing that song. Sounded JUST like him. It sounds kinda whiny... I'm not really thinking he's to go in the top 12. It was good, but not great.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

03. Alexis Grace sang Never Loved a Man by Aretha Franklin.

How I think they did: She reminds me of Taylor Swift (looks wise). Well, she did in the video before her stage performance. It was very soulful. She seems very different than she did during auditions, she took the advice the judges gave her. She might go far this season. Watching the singing recap, she looks like Duffy!

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: SAFE) (Last week: -)

04. Brent Keith sang Hick Town by Artist.

How I think they did: They had some tape errors... but got them fixed quickly, was kinda funny watching the improvisation they did to cover the situation... I thought it was a very safe. It was definitely forgettable. He is going home tomorrow.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

05. Stevie Wright sang You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift.

How I think they did: Started terribly. She sounded very nervous. I was very bored with it. WAY too safe.

I agree with all the judges on replay.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

06. Anoop Desai sang Angel of Mine by Monica.

How I think they did: It was a good performance. It was very sharp the whole way through. He has a lot of potential tho. It was a little grown up for him... Paula compared him to Brian McKnight.  IF you were paying attention, after Ryan sat back down he put his hand on Anoop's mom's hand! It was funny.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: HAS A SHOT) (Last week: -)

07. Casey Carlson sang Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic by The Police.

How I think they did: It was very boring. Not a good song choice. Sounded too much like the original. I think, contrary to Anoop, she was very flat.

I agree with all the judges on replay.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

08. Michael Sarver sang I Don't Wanna Be by Gavin Degraw.

How I think they did: The begining stunk. I dont think it was his best so far. The song has been sung by at least 3 different Idols so far. I like Michael as a person but it just wasn't for him. And for some reason, this season, they are all about "another chance," I dont think they deserve second chances on this show! You either have it or you dont!

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

09. Anne Marie Boskovich sang Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.

How I think they did: Song choice again. That is such a big song that they need to kill it to make it work. I don't think it was good enough

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME) (Last week: -)

10. Stephen Fowler sang Rock With You by Michael Jackson.

How I think they did: He PROMISED to not forget the words tonight. I gotta give props to a local tho. Not the right song for him. Pitchy. Paula called it the "Kiss of Death".

I agree with Paula, Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: GOING HOME :( ) (Last week: -)

11. Tatiana Del Toro sang I Am Saving All Of My Love For You by Whitney Houston.

How I think they did: I'm glad they kept her annoying laugh out of the video. Despite how much I can't stand her, She was actually a decent singer tonight! Very Impressive. Makes me kinda miss the old Tatiana.... NAH!

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: -) (Last week: -)

12. Danny Gokey sang Hero by Mariah Carey.

How I think they did: I thought it was AMAZING. The BEST PERFORMANCE all night!!

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: SAFE) (Last week: -)

Results are tomorrow night at 8/7c!

AND! Check out the newest blog! gadget.x! I'm very excited about it.

Chris Brown apologizes, seeks counseling...
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - R&B star Chris Brown, who was arrested last weekend on suspicion of attacking a woman widely believed to be the pop star Rihanna, said on Sunday he was "sorry and saddened" about the incident, and was seeking counseling.
The 19-year-old performer of such chart-toppers as "Run It!" and "Forever" has been in hiding since the alleged fracas with his girlfriend in a rented Lamborghini.
He hired a public relations company that specializes in crisis management to issue a five-sentence statement in which he also said many media and blog reports have been wrong.
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," he said. "I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
He did not mention his father, who was quoted on Friday as telling People magazine that his son was "very remorseful."
Police and prosecutors have not officially disclosed that Rihanna was the victim of Brown's attack just after midnight on February 8. But unidentified police sources told the Los Angeles Times that Rihanna was the victim, and numerous media outlets have reported the same information.
Brown turned himself in to police, and he was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats against a woman. The Los Angeles Police Department is still investigating, and a spokeswoman for the L.A. District Attorney's Office said a decision has not yet been made on whether to file charges.
Celebrity websites and magazines have reported that the incident happened shortly after Brown left a Beverly Hills party with Rihanna as his passenger. The 20-year-old native of Barbados suffered bruises on her face and a split lip, according to several reports.
Brown added in his statement: "Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
Despite the serious nature of the allegations, many of Brown's showbiz comrades have defended him. Most recently, hip-hop star Kanye West said, "Can't we give Chris a break?" during a taping of VH1's "Storytellers" on Friday.

Report: Police 'To Probe Rihanna/Brown Relationship History'...
Los Angeles police are reportedly investigating the possibility of a history of heated rows between Rihanna and Chris Brown in the wake of the R&B star's alleged attack on his girlfriend at the weekend.
The probe comes as it was revealed by police sources that the "Umbrella" hitmaker was forced to wear an eye patch last year, after suffering an alleged scratched cornea.
Brown was arrested on Sunday and charged with making criminal threats after a heated exchange in Los Angeles that morning, hours before he and Rihanna were due to attend the Grammy Awards.

Underwood: 'Stop Spreading Ridiculous Brown/Rihanna Rumors'...
Country star Carrie Underwood is urging internet gossips to stop speculating about Chris Brown's alleged fight with his girlfriend Rihanna and "lay off" the troubled couple.
Speaking to Usmagazine.com, she says, "They were fine at the Grammy party.
"I don't think anybody actually knows what happened. You hear a new one (rumor) every five minutes, and some of them are getting ridiculous. I really hope everyone will lay off and just let everybody who's involved figure out everything first."

Another Grey's update for a good friend of mine, you know who you are ;)...
Contrary to reports, Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight will not be leaving Grey's Anatomy, says show creator Shonda Rimes.
"That was a very interesting rumor," she told People. "That was absolutely taken out of context," said Rhimes, referring to the comment Grey's star James Pickens, Jr. made about Heigl and Knight's departure. "Things happen, and … I think rumors become fact very easily. And you know I don’t like to tell you what’s going to happen on the show — but that is a rumor."

Octuplets publicist quits over threats...
Wow! I never thought I would be posting an article about this lady... Since when is she considered a "celebrity"?
A Los Angeles publicist said she and her husband decided Saturday to stop representing Nadya Suleman, the mother of octuplets, because of death threats.
Joann Killeen, president of the Killeen Furtney Group, told the Los Angeles Times she and her husband, Mike Furtney, put their dogs in a kennel because of the threats. She said Los Angeles police told her Friday the threats were the most intense they had heard of since the O.J. Simpson trial.
"They hope I die, they hope my business goes under, they want to rip her uterus out," Killeen said. "They say I should be anesthetized and put down like a dog."
Suleman, 33, already had six children conceived through in vitro fertilization when she gave birth to octuplets in January. News reports soon revealed that Suleman is single, unemployed and living with her parents.
"The American public have just lashed out," Killeen told the Times. "I think it has to do with the economy, healthcare -- there's not a lot of jobs, people are unemployed and are trying to take care of their families."
Killeen said she has been swamped with telephone calls, mail and e-mail, most of it angry.
Honestly??! First up, why does she need a publicist, she's just a regular person who wanted to have lots of kids. Now she has 14, I really dont see the big problem here! There are many families in our world who have a lot of kids! I know she lied about a few things, like welfare, but come on, seriously?

Jessica: My Pants Split...
Jessica Simpson had one worry on her mind on Thursday where she performed at NYC's Madison Square Garden: her clothes.
"I've had times when my pants split right down the middle when I bent down to reach a note," the singer joked with the crowd. "That's why I'm wearing a skort - not a skirt, not a short - just so they wouldn't split."
New York's Newsday reports that the singer "confidently rolled out her new single "Pray Out Loud" and her self-esteem anthem "Remember That."

Beckham to remain with Galaxy...
David Beckham will remain with the Los Angeles Galaxy after AC Milan did not meet a Major League Soccer Friday deadline to make an acceptable offer on a transfer fee for the English superstar.
MLS commissioner Don Garber imposed the deadline on Wednesday evening, but the Los Angeles Times reported Friday night that no late offer from AC Milan would be considered.
The 33-year-old England international joined the Rossoneri on loan at the beginning of last month and is due to return to America on March 8.

That's the Dish!

Economic Stimulus Payment
15 February 09 12:00 PM | Zach | with no comments

This is a forward... Not my words Smile

"This year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format:

"Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
"A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

"Q. Where will the government get this money?
               "A. From taxpayers.

"Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
"A. No, they are borrowing it from China .  Your children are expected to repay the Chinese.

"Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
"A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

"Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?
               "A.  Shut up."
Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China .

If you spend it on gasoline it will go to Hugo Chavez, the Arabs and Al Queda

If you purchase a computer it will go to Taiwan ...

If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala (unless you buy organic).

If you buy a car it will go to Japan and Korea .

If you purchase prescription drugs it will go to India

If you purchase heroin it will go to the Taliban in Afghanistan

If you give it to a charitable cause, it will go to Nigeria.

And none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America . You can keep the money in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spend it on prostitutes, beer (domestic ONLY), or  tattoos, since those are the only businesses still in the US.

Again, not my words, just a point of discussion Smile
