Harry Potter Movie Delayed...
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the writers strike is partly to blame.
Warner Bros. president Alan Horn released a statement Thursday.
"Like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films-changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of," he said. "We agreed the best strategy was to move 'Half-Blood Prince' to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer."
The movie was originally scheduled for a November 11 release. According to the Reporter the studio still plans to release Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on November 19, 2010. The first half anyway...

40 Year-Old Virgin Actor Pleads Innocent in Stabbing...

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Shelley Malil, a supporting player in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, has pleaded innocent in a California court to a charge of attempted murder.
The actor who has appeared on Scrubs, The West Wing and Seinfeld is accused of stabbing his girlfriend, 35-year-old Kendra Beebe, at least 20 times at her San Marcos house while her two young children were home, E! Online said. He allegedly became enraged after seeing her with another man.
Malil, 43, was arrested earlier this week at an Ocean City train station. He is being held on $10 million bail at the San Diego County Detention Center.
E! Online said the attempted murder charge brought against him includes the special circumstances of premeditation, causing great bodily injury and using a deadly weapon.
Malil could face life in prison if convicted.
Beebe was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday night, E! Online said. The entertainment news Web site didn't offer an update on her condition in its report Wednesday.
"There was a prolonged attack," prosecutor Steve Carver told the media following Malil's arraignment. "He came up and started stabbing her immediately without any words or argument."
Carver said the attack only ended when a neighbor intervened.
"He did not stop his murderous acts voluntarily but because of the heroic acts of the neighbor," Carver said.
E! Online said Malil's representatives have not issued a comment since his arrest.

Alanis Morisette wanted ex Dave Coulier to know he hurt her--and he knew as soon as he heard her 1995 hit, "You Oughta Know."
The former Full House star was driving when he first heard it.
"I said, 'Wow, this girl is angry,'" he told the Calgary Herald . "And then I said, 'Oh man, I think it's Alanis.' . . . I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, 'I think I have really hurt this person.' I tried to contact her and I finally got a hold of her. And at the same time, the press was calling and saying, 'You want to comment on this song?' I called her and I said, 'Hi. Uh, what do you want me to say?' And she said, 'You can say whatever you want.'
Thirteen years have gone by and Coulier insists the two are on good terms now.
"We saw each other and hung out for an entire day. And it was beautiful. It was one of those things where it was kind of like, 'We're good.' "
