I meant to post about this last night, but personal things came up and I lost track of the time.
Tonight during Idol Gives Back, I will be on the treadmill "Walking for America". I know this really wont affect much but it shows my support for what Idol Gives Back is doing.
So, fit clubbers, its your perfect opportunity to exercise! Idol gives back!!

The show opened with the 9 remaining contestants singing Dolly Parton’s hit, 9 to 5. (Let me just say that some of these singers should stay away from singing country music.)
We get a group shot of everyone waiting backstage, then Ryan begins calling them one by one to give them the vote results. First up is Michael Johns…and he is safe. (Like we didn’t know that!) Next up is David Archuleta…also safe. (Gee, such a surprise..not!) Third to be called is Carly Smithson…and she, too, is safe. (I’m still waiting to hear something I don’t know.)
After the break we get a performance by The Clark Brothers, winners of The Next Great American Band. They perform This Little Light of Mine.
Time for more results. Next up is David Cook…and he is also safe. Turns out that he was taken to the hospital last night as a precaution after the show because he has high blood pressure and it spiked up dangerously high. But he downplayed the whole thing. Who’s next? Ramielle Malubay…is the first in the bottom 3. (No surprise there either!) Next is Kristy Lee Cook…who tells Ryan that she expects to be in the bottom 3….and she is. So we have 2 in the bottom 3 and we cut to a break.
After the break they show a montage of former idol contestants and what they’ve been up to.
And now for the rest of the contestants to hear their results. Syesha Mercado….is safe. (Grumble, grumble. All right, I concede that she has a fabulous voice, but she is severely lacking in the personality department. She comes across as a cold fish.) Last to be called are Jason Castro and Brooke White. It should be Jason, but the tweens are carrying him through with their votes. No, Brooke is in the bottom 3.
So the bottom 3 are: Ramielle, Kristy Lee and Brooke. Cut to a plug for Idol Gives back. Then Dolly Parton performs a new song, Jesus and Gravity.
Back from the break. Brooke is sent back to safety. Now Kristy Lee is safe too. So Ramielle is going home. Is this the way it should be? As far as I’m concerned, YES!

Hi, this is Soccer_Ref, guest blogging again for Zach. Not sure right now if it's just for tonight or both nights this week. Enjoy!
And the countdown to the finale continues! There are 9 contestants still in the competition. It's Dolly Parton week. All the songs were written by Dolly Parton. Here we go!
These performances are in order so if you are still up until 12:00 PM EST tonight, you can still call in! Remember the number is 1-866-IDOLS(43657)-(their two digits eg. 01 or 12) OR if you have a AT&T Wireless phone, you can text the word VOTE to 57(their two digits). ((OK now I really feel like Ryan))
01. Brooke White sang Jolene.
A pretty good performance. Not her best, but still solid. She rushed the song a bit so some of the words were kinda lost, and I don't think she connected as much with the audience. But I think it was good enough to keep her around another week.
02. David Cook sang Little Sparrow.
WOW! It seems that David has come into his own and continues to shine. He may very well be the one to beat! But he'll definitely make it to the final 3.
03. Ramile Malubay sang Do I Ever Cross Your Mind.
If I didn't see her, I would say she did pretty well on this song. But watching her, it seemed like her body was moving almost mechanically while she sang. And when she let her body move to the music, he singing became mechanical. I'm surprised she's still here and I don't think she'll be here much longer.
04. Jason Castro sang Travellin' Thru.
Well, a solid performance, but I'm not sure if he just doesn't have much of a range or the song was in the wrong key for him. We finally got some emotion out of him, something that's been missing for several weeks now. I think he'll be carried through by all the girls who are swooning over him.
05. Carly Smithson sang Here You Come Again.
Ok, I heard the first line and a thunderstorm broke overhead. I lost my satellite during her performance. What I heard, I liked. Wouldn't have recognized it as the same song. She's one of the best performers in the competition.
06. David Archuleta sang Smoky Mountain Memories.
OMG!! He could record this right now! This was the PERFECT song for him. He has such a way of making you feel like he's singing only to you! Wow!!!
07. Kristy Lee Cook sang Coat of Many Colors.
Finally I feel like Kristy has gotten her self-confidence and stepped up to the role. This was a terrific performance and I could see her going on to the final 5 at least.
08. Syesha Mercado sang I Will Always Love You.
I liked the beginning, but felt like the end was a bad imitation of Whitney Houston. She has an amazing voice, but I didn't feel like she made the song her own.
09. Michael Johns sang It's All Wrong But It's All Right.
After that performance, our final 3 may very well be made up of 3 guys. That was a hot, hot, hot performance!
What a great show tonight!
