Can we stick with these 6?

Well, we’re down to 6! It’s getting too close for bad singers so its time to get rid of Phil… I heard he had a record deal already. No idea who would give him a record deal… someone who’s crazy I guess. Tonight’s country night, enjoy country songs by good singers that don’t sing country. Celebrity guest is Martine McBride.

I have decided that this season I will watch the show and judge without the input of the judges. I mute them while I type my results. Then I replayed the results during breaks and said who I agreed with. Honestly!! These performances are in order so if you are still up until 12:00 PM EST tonight, you can still call in! Remember the number is 1-866-IDOLS(43657)-(their two digits eg. 01 or 12) OR if you have a Cingular Wireless phone, you can text the word VOTE to 57(their two digits). ((OK now I really feel like Ryan))

01. Phil Stacey sang Where The Blacktop Ends by Keith Urban.

How I think they did: One of my favorite country songs.  I thought he did well, one of his best performances. I think he would be awesome in the country field. I also noticed that they get to sing a longer song this week.

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: 6) (Last week: 6)

02. Jordin Sparks sang A Broken Wing by Martina McBride.

How I think they did: It started off not so good for me. I grew to like it more towards the end.

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: 4) (Last week: 4)

04. LaKisha Jones sang Jesus Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood.

How I think they did: Bad idea singing a previous Idol song. It gave me chills, that song always did. It had some pitch problems… not a favorite of mine from here but I really liked it…

I agree with Randy, Paula on replay.

My Order (This week: 3) (Last week: 1)

05. Chris Richardson sang Mayberry by Rascal Flatts.

How I think they did: I like Rascal Flatts but I don’t remember this song.  He had a lot of pitch problems. It was very separated from the audience. No emotion, no connection…

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: 5) (Last week: 5)

06. Melinda Doolittle sang Trouble Is a Woman by Julie Reeves.

How I think they did: What can I say? It was awesome…

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: 1) (Last week: 2)

07. Blake Lewis sang When the Stars Go Blue by Tim McGraw.

How I think they did: It was good but I was distracted for a bit there.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: 2) (Last week: 3)

Overall an OK night. Just hope that tomorrow we have the same contestants by the end of the hour long show. See you then!!
