'Idol' and '5th grader'
28 February 07 12:01 AM | Zach | 3 comment(s)

I tried a different format last week for Idol and it seemed to work well, so this week, I will use the same format, unless someone else has an idea. Tonight is the top 10 guys! Hopefully they are better than last week.

I have decided that this season I will watch the show and judge without the imput of the judges. I mute them while I type my results. Then I replayed the results during breaks and said who I agreed with. Honestly!! These performances are in order so if you are still up until 12:00 PM EST tonight, you can still call in! Remember the number is 1-866-IDOLS(43657)-(their two digits eg. 01 or 12) OR if you have a Cingular Wireless phone, you can text the word VOTE to 57(their two digits). ((OK now I really feel like Ryan))

01. Philip Joel "Phil" Stacey sang Missing You by John Waite.

How I think they did: he started way off pitch. He did pick a pretty good song for who he dedicated it to. At parts he looked like Chris Daughtry. Just didn’t sound like him.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: 5) (Last week: 3)

02. Jared Cotter sang Lets Get It On by Marvin Gaye.

How I think they did: He sang better than he did last week. It was pitchy at times. But he did a very good job.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: 8) (Last week: 8)

03. Antonio Javier "A.J." Tabaldo sang Feeling Good by Nina Simone.

How I think they did: He is feelin good after that one! That was awesome!!

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: 6) (Last week: 4)

04. Sanjaya Malakar sang Steppin’ Out With My Baby by Tony Bennett.

How I think they did: I thought it was really bad actually. His song was too easy.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: 9) (Last week: 7)

05. Chris Sligh sang Trouble by Ray LaMontagne.

How I think they did: It was a very good song! He did get ahead of the music at times but it was very good.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: 3) (Last week: 2)

06. Nicholas Pedro sang Fever by Peggy Lee.

How I think they did: It was better than last week. But I think he could do better. It was pitchy…

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: 7) (Last week: 6)

07. Blake Lewis sang Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai.

How I think they did: It started off like last week, but I thought it was weak. He missed the high note. The beat boxing was nice though. I still think he is the best guy singing.

I agree with Randy, Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: 1) (Last week: 1)

08. Brandon Rogers sang Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.

How I think they did: The song was dedicated to the right person. It just wasn’t … good. It did not wow me.

I agree with Simon on replay.

My Order (This week: 10) (Last week: 11)

09. Chris Richardson sang Geek in the Pink by Jason Mraz.

How I think they did: I like this song from Mraz, This rendition is pretty good actually. He needs new moves.

I agree with All three on replay.

My Order (This week: 4) (Last week: 5)

10. Jason “Sundance” Head sang Mustang Sally by Wilson Pickett.

How I think they did: WOW, that was awesome!!! He is back!

I agree with Randy on replay.

My Order (This week: 2) (Last week: 9)

The guys did well tonight, but they could still do better. After the show was “Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader” which was awesome! I knew all the answers except one. Tomorrow, more Idol and 5th Grader.

2-26 Dish: ThanksUSA 2 Hunt
27 February 07 12:30 AM | Zach | with no comments

I know there are those out there who just come here for the Celebrity Dirt. I have also just gained another reading crowed, American Idol, which has consumed my life. Which kinda stinks for those “hard-core celeb-dirt” readers. Hopefully, I will have some more free time soon and will be able to work on 2 daily blog posts. For today, here is your dish you Hard-Core Celeb-Dirt lovers!

ThanksUSA 2 Hunt has begun!!

I am going to cover the hunt called ThanksUSA. I am not trying to take anything away from Joe, so most of the stuff about ThanksUSA 2 will be in the forums. I will update in here when we finish a Chapter. We finished Chapter 1 today and most of the answers are making their way over to the forums. I don’t want to give all the answers away so you will have to do a little work. Don’t be stunned if I catch you cheating…

Appeals Court Halts Anna Nicole's Bahama Burial…

Basically, here is the story. Anna’s Mom doesn’t want her to be buried in the Bahamas anymore. So they moved the body from the Bahamas back to Florida. I am starting to think she needs to stop. They were not that close to begin with!

Friend: 'Idol' Contestant Not in Nude Photos…

You knew I couldn’t last one post without something Idol didn’t you? There were pictures all over the internet of Antonella Barba nude. If you want to see the pictures, go to IDontLikeYouInThatWay.com. They have tons I am told.

But here is the new story. A friend is claiming that those pics are not of her! Idol Producer, Nigel Lythgoe, was unaware of the photographs. So this means, she might be kicked out of the competition. Only time will tell.

You are the first to leave American Idol Season 6
23 February 07 07:57 AM | Zach | 3 comment(s)

Tonight is basically a wasted hour when it could take 5 minutes just to say “Ok, You 4 are going home.”

Before the show starts, I want to say that I think Paul Kim and Nicholas Pedro from the guys and Amy Krebs and Alaina Alexander (This is upon further review) are going home tonight. Lets see how things roll out.

The first thing that they did, which was new, was have the top 24 sing a song together (Seeds of love I think)

They next took the back row of guys and sent each one of them back to take a seat. One guy in that row would be eliminated as well as one guy from the bottom row. Paul Kim was eliminated. Not to brag or anything, but I kinda could tell he was going home. Then they make them sing after they have to go home. That has to be the hardest thing to do.

After the commercial break, the girls were up for elimination. The back row as well went down for the “moment of truth” and they were all sent back to their seats. Ryan then called out Amy Krebs (who was in the front row) and eliminated her. So that’s 2 for 2 so far for me tonight. She actually sang worse tonight I think, I cant really remember…

They took a break from eliminating and had a performance by Fantasia, winner of Season 3. She sang a song off of her new album which was pretty good. I definitely like this song better than songs off of her first album. They made me fall asleep.

Now its time to get serious. The ladies were dragged out again and sent people to sit down once again. Nicole Tranquillo was eliminated which really shocked me. I thought she was a bit better than Alaina. So now I am two for three…

After the final break, the guys had to get up and live the moment of truth. Rudy Cardenas was eliminated. I guess 2 out of 4 is good for one night.

They have a much better “I was eliminated” song this year. “Home” by Daughtry

The Ladies BROUGHT IT
22 February 07 12:30 AM | Zach | 3 comment(s)

Tonight we watch the lady’s perform. Hopefully, there will be some GOOD singing tonight. Last night the guys were Terrible!! And after I reviewed the tape, I have changed who I think will go home: Paul Kim, Nicholas Pedro, I replayed their performances a few time and just listened and they were really bad.

I am trying a different way to post how everyone did since the table format didn’t quite work.

01. Stephanie Edwards sang How Come You Don’t Call Me by Alicia Keys.

How I think they did: She looks a lot like Latoya London, but doesn’t sing like her. That definitely set the bar high! It was a bit pitchy but best so far this season.

I agree with All three on replay.

My Order (This week: 3) (Last week: -)

02. Amy Krebs sang I Cant Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt.

How I think they did: The song was boring, it was very pitchy, way too safe tonight. She has the personality of a candle according to Simon. She really needs to do something to make her stand out, but she might be out of time.

I agree with All three on reply.

My Order (This week: 10) (Last week: -)

03. Leslie Hunt sang (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.

How I think they did: She did try very hard singing the song. It was a good performance but you shouldn’t try to pick a song from a HUGE star! She was a bit pitchy and looked nervous on stage a bit…

I agree with Simon on reply.

My Order (This week: 8) (Last week: -)

04. Sabrina Sloan sang I Never Loved a Man by Aretha Franklin.

How I think they did: WOW. That was awesome. She is the one to beat tonight! She had a good plan, don’t go with a ballad because it rarely does singers good in this stage of the game

I agree with Randy, Simon on reply.

My Order (This week: 4) (Last week: -)

05. Antonella Barba sang I Don’t want to miss a thing by Aerosmith.

How I think they did: I think I nodded off during this one. She was off pitch, she was very nervous. Could send her home.

I agree with Simon on reply.

My Order (This week: 12) (Last week: -)

06. Jordin Sparks sang Give Me One Reason by Tracy Chapman.

How I think they did: That was awesome. Pure talent! She is already in the top 12. As long as she doesn’t mess up next week. She has a very, very good voice and she will do fine. I see a record in her future.

I agree with All three on reply.

My Order (This week: 5) (Last week: -)

07. Nicole Tranquillo sang Stay by Chaka Khan.

How I think they did: She got the audience moving that’s for sure. It was hard for me to get into the song. This is a tough one… I think she needs to pick a different song.

I agree with Simon on reply.

My Order (This week: 7) (Last week: -)

08. Haley Scarnato sang Its all Coming Back to Me Now by Celine Dion.

How I think they did: This is not a song you sing on your first Idol performance. I can see this on finale night, but not now. It was just really OK. Not much more to say about it. It wasn’t wow, it was just eh.

I agree with Randy on reply.

My Order (This week: 11) (Last week: -)

09. Melinda Doolittle sang (Sweet Sweet Baby) Since You’ve Been Gone by Aretha Franklin.

How I think they did: Before she even went on stage and Ryan said she was singing an Aretha song, I thought it wouldn’t be over the top. That was AWESOME! Best so far tonight!!! I have to go change the order of good singers now! She just blew the roof off. I was waiting for the sparks in the background. BEST so far.

I agree with All three on reply.

My Order (This week: 2) (Last week: -)

10. Alaina Alexander sang Brass in Pocket by The Pretenders.

How I think they did: Pitchy, just OK. Wasn’t her own, didn’t use any umph. It wasn’t “Special.”

I agree with Simon on reply.

My Order (This week: 9) (Last week: -)

11. Gina Glocksen sang All by Myself by Eric Carmen.

How I think they did: I never liked her much. And she chose a ballad for her first song, that’s never good. It was a surprising performance, and she sang it well.

I agree with Simon on reply.

My Order (This week: 6) (Last week: -)

12. LaKisha Jones sang And I Am Telling You, I’m Not Going by Jennifer Holliday.

How I think they did: That was definitely a show stopping performance! She has the cat in the bag! I saw her from the start as an Idol.

I agree with ALL THREE on reply.

My Order (This week: 1) (Last week: -)

Tonights show was DEFINITLY better than last night. They had to bring it, and they brought it! I am ecstatic!

Britney in, Lindsay out
21 February 07 08:08 AM | Zach | 2 comment(s)
Due to American Idol, my Celeb Dirt Posts have run a short reciently. This morning, I thought I would post a bit about these two crazy freaks...

Britney Back in Rehab...
Britney Spearshas entered a rehabilitation center, her manager said on Tuesday, after the troubled pop star's recent wild ways escalated this weekend to a bizarre incident in which she shaved her own head.

"Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today," manager Larry Rudolph said in a statement. "We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those (privacy concerns) of her family and friends at this time."

Isn't anyone paying attention to her? She is crying out for attention! She NEEDS help and more family attention.

Lindsay Lohan Out of Rehab...

Lindsay Lohan wasted no time getting back to her hard-partying lifestyle after a stint in rehab - she was spotted out in Los Angeles the night before her treatment ended.

The actress officially checked out of the Wonderland Center in the Hollywood Hills after completing a 30 day stay on Friday.

The night before being released from the facility, Lohan was spotted partying at Hollywood nightclub Teddy's.

I did respect her for going to Rehab, but now that she is out and partying again.... She is probably going to need a TON more help in the future.

Dont ask me why these two young ladies needed their own blog post... It was a spurt of the moment thing.

From 24 to 1, I will give you my input...
21 February 07 12:28 AM | Zach | 4 comment(s)

Well my friends, we are down to 24!!! Tonight is the guys and tomorrow will be the gals. Just think, on 5/23 we will crown our American Idol. This is also when the blog posts will be a bit different. Just read and you will find out that I don’t care much about the frilly stuff, its all about good singing.

01

Rudy Cardenas

Free Ride – Edgar Winter Group

It started off a little off, but he warmed up really quick. It was a bit unoriginal. He reminds me a lot of Clay Aiken. A little creapy!

Simon, Randy

10

-

02

Brandon Rogers

Rock With You – Michael Jackson

Started a little off beat and a bit pitchy. He is very nervous. Barely hit the high notes.  Was just an ok performance for me. Predictable…

Randy, Paula, Simon

11

-

03

Jason “Sundance” Head

Nights in White Satin – The Moody Blues

Let’s hope he sings well tonight. I have been waiting for a good one… Again, was always pitchy. It is definitely a forgettable performance. I liked his audition much, much better.

Randy, Paula, Simon

9

-

04

Paul Kim

Careless Whisper – Wahm!

Ah, the shoeless Kim! I think it started off pitch. Way too low! His falsetto was bad too! Right when he hit the high part. Bad, bad, bad…

Randy, Simon

12

-

05

Chris Richardson

I don’t want to be – Gavin DeGraw

Bo Bice sang this on his season. I thought Bo sang it better. This rendition was a bit too fast. And his dancing was really bad. He brang it though! Not his best but its bout time the show started.

Randy, Paula

5

-

06

Nicholas Pedro

Now and Forever – Richard Marx

Pitchy, very Pitchy. I really didn’t like it. Actually, I started another blog post during this audition and I never do that. LOL, vote for Pedro. Ryan said that during the time when he gave out the numbers. If you have ever seen Napoleon Dynomite (which is a horrible movie) that’s where its from.

Randy, Paula

6

-

07

Blake Lewis

Somewhere only we know – Keane

Hey it’s the beat boxer!  I don’t think he will make it far. Ah, a Keane song. I would like to see him beat box to that song. He forgot his lyrics in the middle there, he was looking up into his head. It was good.

Randy (I was waiting for the beat boxing too), Paula, Simon

1

-

08

Sanjaya Malakar

Knocks Me Off My Feet – Stevie Wonder

The song was a bit too big for him. He shouldn’t have wasted his time with a Stevie Wonder song. This was a tough one to write about. I was really looking for something better out of him.

Tough decision. I might go with Paula

7

-

09

Chris Sligh

Typical – Mutemath

Oh, did the show just start? He did start to get ahead of the Chorus toward the middle.  He is a character though

Randy, Paula

2

-

10

Jared Cotter

Back at One – Brian McKnight

Cheesy Song. Lemme pull a lighter out! Played it way too safe tonight. He also hit some bad pitchy parts too in the middle and at the end. Not a favorite of mine.

Simon

8

-

11

Antonio Javier "A.J." Tabaldo

All My Love – Stevie Wonder

He looked like he was having fun. Vocally it was ok. It was just ok for me. Played it too safe.

Simon

4

-

12

Phil Stacey

I Could Not Ask for More – Edwin McCain

He has big ears. Started off bad. He was not all there… Then it started when he hit the Chorus. He was spot on pitch and tempo after that. Haha, Ryan said that “He is going with the Britney Spears hair cut tonight.”

Simon

3

Overall, the guys were really bad tonight. You may start to notice that I am a Simon-like Judge. That will be a reoccurring theme throughout Idol.

I must say, I always love the Coca-Cola commercials. They had one tonight that was all red screen and it says “Every time you open a can of Coke, 12,345 bubbles are born. Happy birthday bubbles.” Makes me laugh. I think it inspires me to start a new segment on the dish! Commercial of the week. Check it out every Friday!

2-19 Dish: Anna Nicole Smith, Britany Spears and Daniel Radcliffe
19 February 07 07:36 PM | Zach | 2 comment(s)

I am in a writing mood today I guess. Maybe it’s the new music on my iPod. I just wanted to get the celeb dirt up and a few other things.

First comes the Anna Nicole Smith Update.

Back in September (or around that time) when Smith’s son died, I said something like “I will never post about Anna Nicole Smith again” because I thought the story was a bit out of hand. And now, that’s about all there is to talk about. I have some audio that you should listen to. Its here and here. The first one is from about a week ago. Its of the doctor who did the autopsy on Anna Nicole Smith. The second on is of Zsa Zsa’s husband. There is some bleeping in the second one…

I also have a poll going on over here about who you think is the father of the baby.

Also, the minister in the Bahamas has retired…Minister Shane Gibson resigned on Sunday amid controversy over his involvement with Anna Nicole Smith, the former Playboy Playmate who died earlier this month, the Bahama Journal said on Monday.

Gibson announced his resignation on state television and denied any wrongdoing or any romantic link to the billionaire's widow, the online edition of the newspaper reported.

Brittany Spears is a HEADACHE!

baldbrit_1.jpg is uploaded at imgplace.net

Must I say more?

If you haven’t seen the pictures yet, Brittany Spears is bald now because she is sick of people touching her I guess. But get this! She was seen wearing a wig to a party this weekend! So why did she shave her head?!? She also got two tattoos! She is a mess!

She had a busy weekend after she left rehab didn’t she? If you would like a piece of her hair, you can find it on eBay.

I also had to post about this…

Space quidditch gets Nasa seal of approval

Most Harry Potter fans would never expect to take part in a real-life game of quidditch. Flying around like wizards is, however, precisely how Nasa imagines that the Moon's first residents will stay entertained, and fit, when the space agency establishes the permanent lunar base it is planning to build by 2024.

Also, there were rumors that the WB was going to fire Daniel Radcliffe for being in the play Equis which turned out to be false. The play was this past weekend and he received a standing O for his performance.

I think that is all I have for you today.

Zach's Top 20 for February 2007
19 February 07 04:10 PM | Zach | with no comments

It is getting close to the end of February already, so I thought it was time for another “Zach’s Top 20” post. There were not too many songs that were new and were good. So I also had to go through the archives and pick some good ones for the iPod. Here is the top 20.

20. Don Henly – Nobody else in the world but you

This was a song off of a CD that I got as a gift not too long ago. This song really caught my ear.

19. Sympathy – Goo Goo Dolls

I really like their music, just time I added that song to the iPod.

18. Streetcorner Symphony – Rob Thomas

I also like Matchbox Twenty’s music. Rob Thomas has a few hits on this list today.

17. What goes around, comes around – Justin Timberlake

Eh, its an OK song. It was on the “You should hear this” list on iTunes today.

16. Keep holding on – Avril Lavigne

Another song on my “You should hear this” list today.

15. Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol

Chasing Cars was a song that I thought I had on my iPod, but I checked today and it wasn’t there. So I decided to add it.

14. Say it Right – Nelly Furtado

Back when she did Fly or whatever that song was called, I really did not like her. Then when she came back with whatever her new album is called, I really didn’t like it either. Now that she released this song, I am starting to be a bit of a fan of hers again.

13. Check on it – Beyonce

This, again, was on that list in iTunes.

12. Waiting on the World to Change – John Mayer

I just bought the John Mayer album a week ago and I have heard this song several times on the radio. It is a good song. He also has another hit on the chart today.

11. Must have done something right – Reliant K

This is a localish band that went big. They used to stink but this song is actually pretty good.

10. U + UR Hand – Pink

I actually didn’t understand this song for a while when it first came out. After I read the lyrics I went “OH, I get it!!” and my stupidity has forced me to add it to my iPod.

9. The Riddle – Five for Fighting

I really like the name of this band, and I like their music even more. I haven’t bought their album yet but am working on getting it since I get all their singles through iTunes.

8. Crazy – Gnarls Barkley

Everyone I know is sick of this song. Their CD was the first I ever purchased from iTunes. I definitely listen to it a lot!!

7. Nothing Left to lose – Mat Kearney

            Just a good song.

6. Into the ocean – Blue October

I didn’t know I had this song on a free cd from Wal*Mart a while ago! I am starting to get to like Blue October…

5. Window in the Skys – U2

I am not much of a U2 fan but this song was OK.

4. Here it goes again – OKGO

This song probably has my favorite video. If you get a chance, go to youtube or google video and watch the video for this song.

3. Gravity – John Mayer

Gravity is actually a weird song. At least it is to me.

2. Little Wonders – Rob Thomas

This song was used a lot at the Radiothon for the Children’s Hospital I talked about last week. It actually has not been released to public yet but I ended up with a copy. You can listen to it on AOL Music as far as I know.

1. This ain’t a scene – Fall out boy

I don’t know about you but this song pumps me up! Probably the only song I can wake up to now so it’s a good thing its on my iPod!!

These songs this week are in order. I wasn’t too into order last month but I was asked to do so this week.

Tune in later Idol fans for my “Idol Predictions 2007”

Lent starts Wednesday
19 February 07 12:28 PM | Zach | 2 comment(s)

Well, Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and those religious folk out there know what that means. It is the start of lent. I usually don’t post about religious stuff (since it is usually covered by Uncle Jesse and other bloggers) but I thought I would get a good look at what everyone is “giving up” for lent.

I didn’t realize how close Ash Wednesday was until yesterday when my Grandma told me. So I had a few ideas for lent, but most of them will not work. Here they are:

  • Stop blogging for 40 days
  • Stop using the pc for 40 days
  • Stop eating for 40 days
  • Don’t eat meat for 40 days
  • Don’t drink soda for 40 days

There are a few more for the list, I just cant think of them right now… Anyways, that is my list. I really cant stop blogging, since that would leave one bare blog. I cant stop using the PC for 40 days because my articles have deadlines (if you didn’t know, I am a reporter. That’s why I ask so many questions) and they have to be typed articles. I cant really stop eating for 40 days, I would probably die very fast after that started. I think I will combine the last two and stick with it! I can give up soda, that’s no problem, the meat part will be the challenge. Looks like a lot of salads in my future!!

So what are you going to give up for lent? Let me know in the comments.

18 February 07 01:04 PM | Zach | 2 comment(s)
Oh, did I say winner? I meant winnerS! I was planning on giving everyone who entered a prize for this one which was the official American Idol, Coca Cola cups. Our winners were fleur_de_lis and Scoutmom!! I am going to email them later and get their information so I can send them their cups.
Here are the winning entries:
Scoutmom:
Revenge?  No, it's the Dish, the best.  Served up by one not so old!

fleur_de_lis
Zach, my mind's ready to explode with info overload--so go sleep with the fishes, you and your Dishes and as for your trivia, go to oblivia!

Let me explain what a Roast is. These were ok entrys but next time I think we might need a bit
more to win. If you have ever watched a Comedy Central Roast

The video above is an example of a "good" roast. Even though the roasters roast everyone but the person that is supposed to be roasted first, they are funny. Work on your roasts and I hope to see you all again next year!!

Hollywood Week Day 1: You forgot your lyrics, your going home.
13 February 07 11:45 PM | Zach | 1 comment(s)

172 people, 5 days, 1 nightmare. This is American Idol.

Today’s post and tomorrows will be hard to write. I will have to write about the rounds. That’s basically all I can do. Here is the story.

The girls get to go first tonight. They are split into groups of 6. All we get to see before the commercial break is one group of six. This year, there are about twice as many girls as guys. This means, there are going to be a TON of cuts from the first round. The first group of 6 I thought were terrible except for one person. But it is not up to me and they all went home.

After the break, we saw the rest of the girls on stage. I really thought they were sending the wrong girls home. Some of the people they sent through to day two couldn’t sing. Of the 114 Girls that went to Hollywood, 56 of them went to day 2. Hopefully the rest of the bad ones will go home later tonight.

The next 6 minutes were dedicated to the guys where about 35 of them went through to group day. This time, I was right about who stayed and who went home. Next is groups! The groups are always the worst. Usually by now, everyone is in party mode. There are very few “good” groups. This is also how most of the good singers go home. After the break, lets see how they do.

The groups slowly came together. They had to pick a song out of a list of 9 to sing. They were given from 8 to midnight to practice at the theatre. Then they had to go back to the hotel for the night.

After the last commercial break, we got to see the rest of the groups. They were pretty bad. Most of them didn’t know there words!! I would spend at least an hour memorizing the song. Some of the best people went home because they forgot their words. It’s a shame. 96 people were here today when this started, and now there are 56. After the next commercial break, we learn which rooms stay and which room goes home.

They split everyone into three groups. Two of the groups had 20 people, the other had 16. The smallest group went home. Tomorrow night we see our top 24! See you then!!

Congrats to Akron Children's Hospital and 98.1 WKDD FM for raising a TON of money this weekend!!!!
12 February 07 12:50 AM | Zach | 1 comment(s)

This weekend has been a very VERY quick weekend. I quite frankly have not left this seat since I came home on Friday. As I said in my last post, this weekend was the Have a Heart, Do your Part Radiothon which was held at the Akron Children’s Hospital and hosted by the morning Radio personalities (NOT DJ’S) Matt Patrick and Angela along with other 98.1 WKDD FM Personalities.

Every day was full of stories from Change Bandits (people who collect change from co-workers and friends, or people who they don’t even know) and people at the hospital. I cant give out names of people who I met at the hospital or of any of the Miracle Kids, but you can go (for a short time) to http://www.wkdd.com/pages/radiothon07/index.html and view the Miracle Kids.

I personally donated twice over Radiothon, once as a Change Bandit, I donated $273.31 (which I want to turn into $3,000 next year) and again on Saturday when they were sending up to the kids, toys. I donated a 20x12 which is $20 a month for a year and that turns into (where is my calculator??) $240!!

I left home at 5:30 PM EST today (Sunday) to go watch the final Carl’s Heating and Air Conditioning Tote Board roll out at 9:00 PM EST. I do this every year but this year I got to come home and write a nice blog post about it (which I will be sending Matt and Angela).

The big total last year was $845,098 and this year we raised another $858,376.98!!!! I also chipped in the last 98 cents ;)

I am sure you are wondering how I plan on raising on $3000. Hopefully, I will be able to do this in a few steps. I plan on raiding the local middle school and putting a jar in every classroom to collect. I also want to send letters to all parents in that building to get them to send in change. I also want to have a “Pie your favorite Teacher contest” and A TON more!! I just don’t want to list it all here yet. In due time, I will let you know what I am doing!

That’s all from me tonight, I forgot to tape the Grammy’s, but I will have another blog post tomorrow morning, bright and early!!
