Oh man... I did bad...

Yesterday, I went to the elementary school to do some volunteering at their "Family Night." We were "treated" with pizza and candy galore... I told myself to stay away from the pizza. So I did... for about a half an hour. The candy... pshhhh that was a breeze for the first 20 minutes! I ate about a bowl full of Mike & Ikes (Thats a bit over stated). This was all before 5:00 PM. When I got home, I was starving so I killed the night with some carrots and peanut butter. Tomorrow is the weigh in and there is no way I'm going to be down.

That's okay.  Remember, it should be a lifestyle change, not just "a diet" and so long as you recognize that this does not fit within a healthy lifestyle and was just an anomaly, then you are fine!  Yes, this week will not be good on the weigh in, but changing your eating habits is the first step!  (Said the woman who slipped the other night and ate chocolate cookies!!)

I agree... plus, sometimes the deprivation style of dieting really hurts more than helps.  Instead of denying yourself something, eat a small piece when you want it. That way, when you are faced with it, you are not thinking, "man, I haven't had that in sooooo long" and then scarf everything in sight. (Been there, done that!) Keep working at it, it'll click soon!

Just like scout and fluffy said, and I have been telling you, you need to make a lifestyle change.  And maybe plan your meals ahead of time so you know just how many calories you will be eating and what you have to spare.  I have allowed myself 1/4 of a special dark full size chocolate bar.  But I must say I did over do  it with those cheap Murray's butter cookies over the weekend.  Had to have some, then some more, then some more, then hell why not eat the whole pack and get them out of the way so I won't be tempted the next day...So I did....and they are gone and I do not miss them.  I won't be buying them again either...LOL  But the scale has been moving--thank goodness............

I know its ok to splurge every now and then. But I wish I hadn't done so right before a Weigh in. Maybe I should get a hair cut like some of the other fit club contestants ;)
