Florida Repeats as National Champions
For the first time since Duke won back-to-back championships (91-92), there is a repeat for the national title. Florida beat Ohio State 84-75 and the Gators chomp again.
Ohio State fought, but it just wasn't enough. Al Horford had 18 points and 12 rebounds, Taurean Green had 16 and Greg
Oden's 25 points and 12 rebounds weren't enough to stop the Gators (35-5) from
completing the journey they set out to complete, the first step of which was all the starters delaying their NBA plans
for a try at another title.
In winning tonight, Florida completes a 2007 championship-game sweep of the Buckeyes in both basketball and football. Florida is the only program in history to hold both championships at the same time.
