Tiger Woods Wins World Title...Again
Proving once again it doesn't matter whether it's called the American Express Championship or the CA, whether it's played in Spain, Ireland, Atlanta, San Francisco, London or at the Doral in Miami, Tiger Woods can win it. Woods played to a 1-over 73 on Sunday to win the CA Championship by two shots over Brett Wetterich in this, his final tournament before the Masters.
It seems that no one else has won a PGA Tour even six times on six courses (if you know of someone, PLEASE, let me know!) This was his third straight victory at Doral.
"He's good on Bermuda, good in wind, good in no wind, he's good on bent grass. He's just a good player," U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy said. "What do you say?"
Overall, Woods finished at 10-under 278 to continue his dominance in the World Golf Championships, giving him his 13th title in 24 attempts. He's 11-of-16 in stroke play tournaments.
