As The Engine Revs Episode Six - Jeff Gordon's Car 'Too Low'

Let's recap what's happened so far:

In a series of items best described as "Wow, I didn't think you'd catch me cheating!", the teams of Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler and Scott Riggs all lost points and had their crew chiefs fined and suspended for various infractions involving illegal modifications to their cars.  That was followed closely by Michael Waltrip getting caught because a "person or persons unknown" placed an illegal substance in his gas line.

Now, just when you thought things would be getting back to normal, it was announced that Jeff Gordon's car failed the post-race inspection after he won yesterday's second Gatorade Duel qualifying race.  Although this appears to have been more of a mechanic's mistake in installing the shocks (and I thought guys like that only worked at the local garage!) and not cheating - since it was actually a safety hazard.  As a result, Gordon will be starting the race next to last.

What was Gordon's reaction?  "Are you serious?  That sucks."  No kidding.  "I'm mad about that right now."  I have a feeling that mechanic is packing up his tools right now.
