Bears Going to the Super Bowl! Part I

Okay, I admit it.  I'm as stunned as the rest of you.  Yes, they are my team, but not being sure which Rex would show up, I faced today's game with a great deal of trepidation.

Flashback to 1985:  Bears vs. Patriots, Super Bowl XX in, of all places New Orleans, LA.  Bears 46 - Patriots 10.  The Bears set Super Bowl records for sacks (7) and fewest rushing yards allowed (7). The Bears 36 point margin over the Patriots was a Super Bowl record until Super Bowl XXIV. The Patriots were held to negative yardage (-19) throughout the entire first half, and just 123 total yards in the entire game, the second lowest total in Super Bowl history.

Back to the present:  Potentially, the Bears could once again face the Patriots, depending on the outcome of today's game.  However, back then it was a given we would win.  Today, there is no certainty other than I am kicking everyone out of the house, for fear of how I will deal with either a loss OR a win!
