Avast ye mateys, it be after twelve whar I be... so as far I can see it be TLAPD!  Me buddies Fleur and Scoutmom are below catchin' up on thar rest, and I be the only one up.  But that makes no difference here...  So fer all who dare to tread these waters today, be sure to use yer best pirate speak, and be watchin yer back...  you never know who'll be lookin' to run ye through on this day.  So hoist yer sails and keep a sharp eye out, and I'll be seein' you (with my good eye) laterrrrggghh!!!

Aye, me hearties, it be TLAPD!!  It be our sworn duty to pillage the village, speak like a pirate  and stick to the code.

Well, they're more of guidelines, actually...

Bah!  Guidelines be damned! If ye can post a 1,000 comments on a blog whose name has nothin' to do with the fine work of pirates, I'll be wagerin' you can do some pretty fine work on making this the finest example of piratical speakin' anywhere to be found.

Yer mother told ye "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".  This be yer chance to spew the bilge from the bung hole (not really a bad word, by the way, for all you who might be worried about that.  It's actually just what they would tap out of the barrel of food or water - or rum - on the ship.  Of course, sometimes it might be a bit rancid, but I digress...) and join our crew!
