Back to holiday gifts, here is a nice fudge recipe. My recipe is better but it is a "family secret" so if i shared it that wouldnt be much of a secret anymore. Best Ever Fudge "This fudge is easy and delicious! Making this is our Christmas tradition. Also, you can make it ahead and freeze it for up to 3 months!" Original recipe yield: 1 - 11x16 inch jelly roll pan INGREDIENTS 2 cups white sugar 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup butter 25 marshmallows, quartered 2 cups milk chocolate chips 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 1 cup chopped pecans DIRECTIONS Grease 1 - 11x16 inch jelly roll pan. Set aside. Combine sugar, milk, vanilla and butter in large, heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add marshmallows, semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips and unsweetened chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth. Stir in nuts. Mix well. Pour into prepared pans. I must admit, there havent been any pictures of the food items that I post for the past few days. Well, today I have one. These were freshly baked earlier today and they are fantastic! Mom's Soft Raisin Cookies "With four sons in service during World War II, my mother sent these favorite cookies as a taste from home to 'her boys' in different parts of the world. I absolutly love Peanut Butter. This recipe helps with the cravings. Enjoy!! Tiger Butter "This is a delicious peanut butter and chocolate fudge. There is also white chocolate which adds a lovely vanilla sweetness. Serve this to your holiday guests and be merry." Original recipe yield: 2 pounds INGREDIENTS 1 pound white chocolate 1 pound semisweet chocolate, melted 1 1/3 cups crunchy peanut butter DIRECTIONS Line a 10x15 inch pan with parchment. Set aside. In the top of a double boiler set over simmering (not boiling) water, heat white chocolate and peanut butter. Stir constantly until white chocolate and peanut butter melts. Spread onto prepared pan. Pour melted semi-sweet chocolate over top and swirl through with a knife, to create a marble pattern. Chill until firm. Cut into 1 /2 x 1" pieces.

So I did have another "brittle" ligned up for today but I didnt like the recipe when I made it a week or so ago. I am planning on making this one. It is Amish Caramel Corn. Enjoy!!
