Live Out Loud

A blog dedicated to living life as loud as we can for Christ.

You're Not Going To Like This....(Part 3)

You would have thought that we would have figured this out by now, a planet busting with six billion, self-abosorbed, self-centered people, each thinking that it's all about me!  When you think about it, that's nothing more than total chaos.  Look around and what do you see?  Cuttthroat people.  Wounded people.  Bitter people.  Restless people.  Lonely people. Frusterated people.  Disillusioned and unfulfilled people.  There is a much better way to go about this, if you have the ears to hear it and the heart to follow it.  Are you ready?  Life can begin to make sense, if we will accpept our proper place in the universe.  We've got to begin to see everything-our pleasures, problems, gifts, and talents as ALL being for the One who created us.  Only then will we gain what we've been missing and find what we've been seeking.  It's the only path to discovering the meaning-charged life our souls hunger for.  It's the transforming premise that it's NOT ABOUT YOU OR ME!  It's the revolutionary notion that we have been created by Him; for Him.  "It's ALL about HIM!"

"Life's most urgent question is:  What are you doing for others?" -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Love the quote by Dr. King. That's a keeper!

Only those who have been faced with their own mortality, their own sense of how insignificant humans really are in the grand scheme of things, only those people can learn to step outside of their world and become a part of this one.

Please don't mis-read what I'm tryin to say here. I love humans, happen to be a card carrying member of the spieces myself! But when you look at the WHOLE PICTURE... our planet has been here for billions of years and will continue to be here long after we are gone. To look at a picture of a star taken just moments after it went supernova some 10 million years ago... to watch my momma cat give birth, so many wonders in this universe.. we as humans really have no control over what happens in this universe. We are basically just here for one thing... to praise God and try not to wreck the place.

Read the last chapters of Job. Not the first few where his friends and family are chewing him out saying that it's Job's fault he's sick, did something to piss off God. No... the chapters where GOD gives Job a lecture that he never forgot, and we shouldn't either.

Keep up the good work... say it as loud as you can, brother. I'm watching for your next post.
