The Lost Art of Being A Gentleman (Day 6)
A Gentleman holds doors- A Gentleman always hold doors for everyone, but especially a lady. A gentleman will hold a door open until the lady he is with is all the way inside the building or wherever it is that they are going. While holding the door if more people follow, he will continue to hold the door until everyone is in or until another gentleman offers to hold it. A gentleman also opens and closes car doors. He will open a car door for a lady, help here in if needed and close it before getting in himself. If a lady is wearing a long dress or coat, he will make sure that one or both are free from getting caught in the door jam before closing it. He will also open and hold the car door after arriving to wherever it is they are going.
