Live Out Loud

A blog dedicated to living life as loud as we can for Christ.

James 4:8- Where Are We?

“Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:8

It’s a control thing, really! I just have to know! When I set out on a trip, I always want to know the way. It doesn’t matter if I’m driving or just riding along as a passenger. It just feels so much better to know a little bit about where we’re going and how we’re going to get there. A few years ago, I helped my Dad out by going to the airport and picking up our special guest speaker for a mid-winter bible conference we always had. It was a crazy experience. We were waiting to get his bag from the terminal and he asked me a funny question. So, where are you going? Is that a question anyone has ever asked you? Did you have an answer? I’m amazed at how many people really don’t know where they’re going. I’m not talking about heaven or hell, most people have a least a decent idea of that. But I’m talking about your life. Where is it going? Nowhere? God promises that before He works, moves, makes something happen, that He will share that with His servants. If you are a child of God – THAT’S YOU!!! So what is God telling you? Nothing? Really? Just Listen! God has an incredible plan for your life. He’s just waiting for you to live it. But He reveals it to you through a relationship. If you can’t hear Him, move in closer! That’s better, a little closer. Now spend some time worshipping Him and telling Him how great He is.

I find it interesting that most of us don't know how to listen.  Most times all it takes is for us to be quiet for a minute.

A relationhip is not very effective when one person does all the talking, ya know?
