Some interesting accounting reading: the 2006 UFE report

It's a mixed blessing that the commentary on the UFE doesn't come out until the following May: on the one hand, you can't remember all the details about what you wrote on the exam. On the other hand, yeah, you can't remember what you wrote.

It's annoying and probably a good way to save your sanity. Similar to how they don't tell you how you did if you "simply passed". It's just pass/fail unless you hit the honour roll - and even those lucky smart people aren't always sure whether they were just one or two brilliant insights away from becoming Canada's Gold Medalist for the year.

Anyway, Neil didn't post a direct link to the report, but I will - just go to the ICAO's website if you're a member.

All Ontario CA students should have access. I'm going to presume that the other provincial CA institutes have a similar arrangement. Seeing as how we have roughly a third of the country's population, I'll just leave it at that.

However, looking at just the first few pages, I'm amused to find detailed library cataloguing information - as if you'd expect to go down to your local branch of the TPL and just check out a copy of it.

This is not going to be a quick read - it's over 231 pages of insights into how students shined, and more commonly, fell flat on their faces.

Trenchant commentary to follow.
