A Counting School - Hardcore Chartered Accountancy

since 1494

Woo. Hoo.

The ASX exam writing philosophy has proven to be a success - I passed!

Unfortunately my study buddy didn't make it - which is a dark sad cloud on an otherwise sunny day (both literally and metaphorically).

More commentary later, time to respond to the flood of mail I just got.

Congrats!!

I wrote the CA Student Association exam many years ago and I still remember what a nightmare that was.

Enjoy your success!

Mseda, I grow increasingly curious to know where the "CA Student Association exam" is written - doesn't sound like anything we do in Canada, but it certainly sounds similar.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario offers the High School Associate Student Program, which is:
- A way for students to become affiliated with the Institute, and CA profession.
- Designed for high school students who are considering a career as a Chartered Accountant.
The Ontario CA Challenge is a competition designed for high school students considering a career in accounting. A student must be a member of the Institute’s Associate Student Program.
It was an interesting experience. I placed 3rd in York Region and 17th in the Province.

Ah yes, that sounded familiar. My school never offered accounting so the entire profession seemed a bit foreign to me back then. Congrats on your good performance. :)
