Hello everyone! I am so happy to be part of this community with my new blog The Junk Drawer. I am a retired teacher, part time artist, Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. I live in a small town in the Midwest with a population of just over 1,000 and I hope to bring a small town perspective to this site as well as random thoughts, bits and pieces of topics that interest me, especially art related ones. I will definitely be including information on some of my favorite artists and art sites (and no, it's not going to be like those boring art history classes and slide shows you fell asleep in, I promise)! I have enjoyed reading (and commenting on) all of the blogs on this site and I look forward to sharing with you in The Junk Drawer.
