This week in review:
1. The Husqvarna Viking sewing machine arrived at my doorstep on Monday evening. And have I had time to even get it out of the box? Of course not. I have so many sewing project ideas that I can't wait to get started. Maybe this winter will bring some really bad weather and a really good reason to stay indoors and sew for hours on end.
2. I had a great evening on Tuesday with my single-with-no-children girlfriend. We had pedicures and dinner at P.F. Chang's. It was a much needed break.
3. Me and the kids got to enjoy a playdate on Wednesday with one of my dearest friends from high school. She also has a 2 year old daughter and a 4 month old son. She now lives in Memphis, TN. I really wish she'd move back closer to us. When we get together we have a great time and our kids get along well.
4. My ladies' small group meets every-other Thursday evening and last night was a meeting night. We met at Liza Moz Pottery (pronounced like Lye-za Moe's). We each selected a piece of pottery and painted them for nearly three hours. I cannot wait to see how they all turn out.
5. Today is Friday! I love weekends. I'm home all week, and therefore, some would think that my weekend is all week long. But that's absolutely not true. Like any job, you must take breaks from your regular duties. I'm so glad the hubby is home and willing to let me take frequent breaks from the munchkins. I love 'em, but if I don't get breaks from them, sometimes I wanna kill 'em...in a very loving way, of course.
6. L has a speech evaluation next week with a speech pathologist. I'm excited to find out how her speech is being affected by her sensory disorder. Her favorite thing right now is to quote TV shows, commercials, books we've read and my reprimands. I have a list of funny things she has said this week. My favorite one this week was when she was playing in the bathtub: "Yipes! You blew off my stripes!" Can you guess where this quote comes from? (Hint: it's a book.)
7. My precious little boy is such a happy guy. He makes my day everytime he smiles at me. And he smiles a lot! How could I ever have a bad day with his sweet smiles always around?
Have a great weekend!
