The role of housewife is so under-valued in today's culture, but our role as housewives is as important as ever in this fast-paced, chaotic world. We are making our homes warm and inviting for family and friends; we are making our husbands and children feel cherished and loved; we are making up fun adventures to coax our little ones into helping; we are making crafts with our little preschoolers; we are making our son's loss at his soccer game more bearable; we are making our teenage daughter feel more comfortable with her changing body and not-so-clear skin; we are making our husband's hard day at work more tolerable; we are making breakfast, lunch and dinner; and more importantly we are making a difference in the lives around us every day.
Every day, housewives have the freedom to make their home environment-their own little piece of the world-into whatever they choose. Do you strive to make your little piece of the world fun and adventurous; educational and enlightening; safe and friendly; warm and loving; hip and the cool-place-to-be; or maybe a combination of all of these? Or maybe you have lost sight of the freedoms you have as a housewife-the freedoms to make your home the way you see fit. Or have you possibly forgotten the original reason you made housewife your career choice?
