AOL GOLD RUSH ANSWERS - ROUND 13:11-13

The reason we are all here today, is of course for the final challenges that open at 3 P.M. EST today.  Six people from Steeple Media can meet up with four previous 100K winners from Steeple Media to compete for $1 mil. This is your last opportunity to win a gold coin and a finalist spot in AOL's Gold Rush.

If you don't win today, you can look forward to season 2, and you shouldn't feel alone.  I, along with most here, do not have a gold coin myself and haven't been a finalist.  No matter the outcome of today's results, I had a blast.  You all have been great company throughout the past 2 months and it has been my honor to be a part of such a great group of people.  We accomplished something extraordinary and made some great memories along the way.

Congratulations to those of you who were winners of gold coins or $100,000 (including Jobe, Andi, Colleen, and Dave).  I am going to try and get a complete list of winners for everyone over the next few days.  I think it is quite amazing how we have dominated this game.  Did you guys/gals realize that we have had at least one of the three finalists competing for 100K in every round (with the exception of 9) since round 5?  What a blast!

FakeUserName: Treasure Hunter, what do we do now that AGR is over and done?
Treasure Hunter:  I'm glad you asked FakeUserName!  First, make sure you enroll in your local AGRA (AOL Gold Rushers Anonymous group).  Second, take a break from the Internet for a week or two and spend some time repairing your relationships with family and friends.  Third, take care of all of the tasks that you "put off" or neglected while playing AGR.
FakeUserName: Wow, you mean I have to go back to living that "normal" life again?
Treasure Hunter: Yes, and when you do decide to return to the Internet, make sure SteepleMedia.com is your first stop on the net.
FakeUserName:  Thanks Treasure Hunter!
Treasure Hunter:  YW!

Some of you may be wondering what is going to happen to SteepleMedia after Gold Rush is over?  You've met a lot of great people here and you want to know if you are still going to be able to use Steeple Media to talk with them.  The answer is yes, of course Steeple Media will be around.  We have a lot of new stuff planned for the upcoming months.  We have several new blogs that will be started and we are going to re-design some of the blogs that are already on the site.  We have the recently added recipe blog and we will be highlighting another new blog titled @HoM: Making Yourself at Home, a blog for housewives by a housewife.

Additionally, we are going to continue with the Trivia in chat, we are going to work on the SOTAD Treasure Hunt and some other games which are coming down the pipe over the next few months.  We also will be starting our Round Robin Novel today.  For those of you who don't know, one of our members is a published auther (novel writer, click here to see her website) and she has volunteered as general editor of this project.  It will be a lot of fun and should turn out to be a pretty interesting story.  If you want to learn more about the Steeple Media novel you can read about it here.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone for making this site possible.  Without all of you Steeple Media would not have been successful.  You all came and offered answers when you could and help when it was needed.  You helped each other to win over $400,000 collectively and developed friendships that would not have otherwise been possible.

Many of you also offered support monetarily to this website, and for that I am extremely grateful.  I would make this one request:  If you have already made a donation, thank you, if not and you used this site and enjoyed what you found, please consider making a small donation.  Even a donation can as small as $1.00 can make a huge difference and will help further the development of steeplemedia.com. If you would like to help us out you can donate through paypal using this link

Thanks again!

Everyone usually likes to know about the numbers so here are just a few Steeple Media Statistics for you to look over.

From September 1st to October 31st there have been 518,298 hits and 2,604,596 pageviews

Thank you for all your hard work.

Do you know if/when they will be having another Treasure Hunt Game?

It has been a pleasure being on this site with all the nice and intellegent people. I have had a great time.

All I want is a t-shirt. I am surprised GR didn't have a store link to sell shirts, and mugs etc. I know I would have bought one.

Good luck to everyone today.

Maybe one of them will match the pictures, like matching the tatoo to a famous person in a couple of the past challenges. I think another will be answer the questions with puzzle pieces.

And for the Gold, a question to do with the Gold Rush game.

Just my thoughts.

Afternoon all! Just did the Quiz of the Dead and there was a question: " A lucky exception to the theme of today's quiz, which 'Friends' star somehow survived the killing spree of an evil Irish elf in the 1993 horror film 'Leprechaun'?"
I researched the film and Jennifer Anniston was the answer along with the state it took place in:  north dakota. Oh boy, not another 'guess the state'. Anyway, another clue.  GL ev!

Wow, you ain't kidding Steep. It has been a wild ride in this game...nerve wracking, grey hair turning, brain freeze...but it has all been a blast. I found this site doing an altavista search for GR before the game ever started. And of all the chatrooms/blogs that I could have joined for this game, I'm glad I went with SteepleMedia. They say GMTA, and that is what we have here. Seems so many of us are on the same wave length we type in the same answer for trivia at the same time...I guess it just depends who's gets "pinged" first....And it's nice to have the laughs...my boyfriend thinks ya'll are nuts because I am nearly falling out of my chair laughing so hard sometimes...FOCLMAO but laughter is the best thing...and I love you guys for making me laugh.

I plan on deleteing this screenname once the game is over and when I log in, look for me under my reg name, ghettowhitelady em is ghettowhitelady@aol.com.

Once again, thanks to Steeple for having this site, and thanks to my "Steep peeps" for everything. And may God bless all ya'll.

PS if there really is a "halloween party" in nemCHAT tonight, someone em me how to get in....I try the links from the chat room and I get 'site unknown'.

I'm guessing that there will be a scrambled name for 11 or 12; that seems to be a popular ploy for Mark B.  And the other one will probably be a 9 or 10-parter, like the vampire thing, which is sure to drive me crazy.

And if anyone is fortunate enough to quickly nail the first two, then he or she just has to get lucky on the last one.  For example, I would have instantly put in 102.7 for the one Gold Challenge ("Kiss") because I live in L.A.

The problem is I didn't get past 11 and 12 quickly enough.

Of course, the "solution" is for people to post their answers once they get them.  Sadly, many, myself included, just get too caught up in trying to be the winner rather than helping.
I have vowed, though, to post quickly this last time if I get an answer.

GLTA!
